Receivables Specialist for Construction

Role Summary We’re seeking a detail-oriented Receivables Specialist to manage daily posting and reconciliation of payments, coordinate billing and collections, support job closeout procedures, and work closely with estimators, project managers, and the finance team. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable working with job management and accounting systems (RMS, QuickBooks, XA and related portals). This role requires a self-starter mindset; some processes are learned on the job and you'll be expected to independently develop solutions when procedures aren’t documented , some responsibilities will require initiative and independent problem-solving; support will be available from the finance team as needed. Qualifications 2+ years of receivables, AR billing, or accounting experience; construction/restoration industry experience a plus. Proficiency with RMS, QuickBooks (desktop), XA, PD Connect, and common TPA portals preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in posting, reconciling, and documenting financial transactions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills — comfortable emailing and calling homeowners, coordinating with PMs/Estimators, and communicating with external parties (mortgage companies, TPAs, collections/attorneys). Ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment and follow accounting compliance procedures. Professional demeanor, problem-solving attitude, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
