Record an Airport Walkthrough Video and Create Photo Documentation of Faro Airport (Portugal)

ABOUT US MapsPeople is a software company that builds indoor mapping and navigation products used in airports, shopping malls, hospitals, and other large venues. Our platform powers interactive maps that help people find their way inside complex buildings - think Google Maps, but for indoors. To build an accurate indoor map of a venue, we need detailed visual documentation of the physical space: how corridors connect, where gates and facilities are located, how levels relate to each other, and what signage looks like on the ground. A good example of the kind of map we build is the Kansas City Airport interactive map: https://flykc.com/terminal-maps. It shows individual units, gate numbers, floor levels, and navigable routes. This is the end result our data collection feeds into. WHAT WE NEED We are looking for someone who already has a flight departing from Faro Airport (FAO) and is willing to spend 45-60 minutes documenting the terminal before boarding. This is a one-time paid task, no specialist skills required, just a smartphone, attention to detail, and the ability to follow a shot list. Everything on the list is standard public photography in a passenger terminal. Many travelers film and photograph airports routinely. You will simply be doing it systematically. The goal is continuous spatial coverage so we can understand how areas connect. WHAT TO DOCUMENT We will send you a full shot list in advance, but in general we need: Landside (before security) Entrance doors and check-in hall overview Check-in counter rows (wide shots showing numbering/signage) Wayfinding signs visible from the main hall Escalators, elevators, and staircases connecting levels Security checkpoint entrance Airside (after security) Continuous walking video through the full post-security concourse Each gate area (gate numbers clearly visible) Shops, restaurants, and facilities with their signage Schengen vs non-Schengen split and signage at that junction Boarding gate areas Any level transitions (stairs, escalators, lifts) with a shot looking up and down General Any maps or you-are-here boards visible in the terminal DELIVERABLES One continuous walkthrough video of the post-security area (landscape, steady pace, no need to narrate) Individual photos per the shot list (approx. 40-80 images) A short note flagging any areas you could not access or photograph Files uploaded to a Google Drive link we provide, organized into two folders: /video and /photos File format: MP4 for video, JPG for photos.
