Regional Community Builder for Global Travel Network
Worldwide
Hi! PlanItary is building a community-focused travel ecosystem designed to help people Prepare, Learn, Appreciate, and Navigate while creating more visibility and opportunity for the people, businesses, educators, organizations, guides, cultural institutions, transportation providers, and community projects that make destinations meaningful. We are looking for regional community connectors around the world who understand their local area, have genuine relationships, and know how to connect people in a thoughtful and natural way. This is not a cold lead-generation job. We are not looking for someone to scrape hundreds of emails, send generic messages, or simply build a contact list. We are looking for people who can help PlanItary build real relationships and trusted networks. You may be a good fit if you are someone who: * Travels often or is deeply connected to your region * Knows local businesses, organizations, guides, educators, tourism professionals, nonprofits, community leaders, creators, universities, cultural institutions, or other well-connected people * Understands which people or organizations others already trust * Can recognize both major network hubs and smaller overlooked groups that could become meaningful partners * Enjoys introducing good people to one another * Understands your local culture and how relationships are normally built there * Can explain a new idea clearly without sounding like a salesperson What We Are Trying to Build Our goal is not simply to say PlanItary has contacts in many countries. We want to create strong local ecosystems where one good relationship can naturally lead to several others. For example, connecting with the right: * tourism organization * university * museum * local guide network * conservation organization * community group * hospitality network * coworking or digital-nomad community * business association * cultural institution * locally trusted entrepreneur could eventually introduce PlanItary to many other businesses, organizations, experts, guides, communities, and travelers. We call this idea “seeds that grow into trees.” Sometimes the best connection may be a large organization with significant reach. Other times, it may be a small family business, local guide, professor, nonprofit leader, artisan, community organizer, or entrepreneur who genuinely believes in the mission and is excited to introduce PlanItary to others. We care much more about trust, willingness, relevance, and connection potential than the size of someone’s following or organization. Who PlanItary Wants to Connect With Depending on your region and relationships, relevant connections could include: Local businesses and hospitality Restaurants, cafés, hotels, guesthouses, homestays, artisans, markets, attractions, local services, wellness businesses, farms, coworking spaces, and other traveler-facing businesses. Tourism and travel Tour operators, travel planners, local guides, drivers, transportation providers, destination organizations, visitor bureaus, travel associations, and experience providers. Education and culture Universities, professors, historians, researchers, museums, archives, libraries, cultural organizations, language experts, heritage groups, and community knowledge holders. Community and impact Nonprofits, NGOs, conservation projects, animal and wildlife organizations, environmental initiatives, education projects, community development groups, humanitarian organizations, and locally led projects. Networks and multipliers Chambers of commerce, tourism boards, professional associations, alumni networks, diaspora groups, creator communities, coworking and coliving networks, student organizations, and other groups that naturally connect many people. You may also know categories or communities we have not considered yet. We want to learn from you. What Matters Most The strongest person for this role may not have the biggest network. It may be the person who understands how one trusted introduction can naturally lead to many more. We are looking for catalysts, not collectors. We want people who can help us understand: * Who is respected locally? * Who genuinely supports their community? * Which organizations are connected to many others? * Who would actually be excited about PlanItary? * Which smaller groups or businesses are often overlooked? * How should PlanItary approach people respectfully in your region? * What could PlanItary offer that would create a genuinely mutual relationship? We also want your perspective. If you believe PlanItary should be connecting with a type of person, organization, profession, or community we have overlooked, we want you to tell us. About PlanItary PlanItary is being developed as more than a traditional itinerary or booking app. The long-term vision includes destination discovery, trip planning, transportation, local businesses, travel experiences, educational and cultural information, community projects, responsible tourism, and contributions from people who actually know the places travelers visit. Artificial intelligence may help organize information, personalize recommendations, translate content, and make travel planning easier, but PlanItary is not being built as an AI-first travel platform. The foundation is people, communities, knowledge, and meaningful relationships. When Applying Please begin your proposal with: SEEDS TO TREES — [YOUR REGION] Then tell us about yourself and your region. We would especially like to understand: * Where you are based or most connected * The kinds of communities or industries you know * A few examples of people or organizations you believe would genuinely fit PlanItary * Whether those are personal relationships, professional relationships, community connections, friend-of-friend connections, or people you would approach for the first time * Which connection in your area could potentially open the door to a larger network * An overlooked local business, organization, community, or person you think deserves more visibility * Any trusted groups, communities, associations, or networks you participate in * An example of a time when one relationship or introduction led to several others * How you would explain PlanItary to someone you already know * Why this type of project interests you We are especially interested in building long-term relationships with people who understand the mission and can become trusted regional connectors as PlanItary grows. If you care about travel, culture, local communities, responsible tourism, education, conservation, small businesses, or simply helping good people find one another, we would love to hear from you.
