Remote Client Communication & IT Collaboration Partner - LATAM
Worldwide
Technical Experience Preferred, but Not Required I’m building a small international software consulting partnership and looking for a reliable person in Latin America who is interested in working with me long term. This role combines client communication, business collaboration, project coordination, and software consulting. If you are already a software developer, QA engineer, DevOps engineer, data engineer, AI/ML engineer, business analyst, or another technical professional, that would be a strong advantage because you will already understand software projects and be more comfortable participating in technical discussions. However, a technical background is not required. If you are a strong communicator who is professional, reliable, comfortable speaking English, and willing to learn basic IT concepts, I can teach you the technical knowledge needed for the client communication side of the role. Your Main Responsibilities Depending on your background, your responsibilities may include: Joining client meetings, stand-ups, planning sessions, and project calls Communicating professionally with U.S. and international clients Gathering and clarifying requirements Providing verified project updates Taking meeting notes and tracking action items Coordinating with the technical delivery team Helping maintain strong client relationships Following up on open questions and project decisions Learning and understanding the client’s software product and business goals If You Are Already a Developer or Technical Professional That is even better. In addition to client communication, you may be able to contribute directly to areas such as: Software development Code review QA and testing Technical requirement analysis Debugging API integration Database work Cloud or DevOps tasks Technical documentation Architecture discussions Estimation and sprint planning The exact responsibilities will depend on your real skills, experience, availability, and the requirements of each client project. If You Are Not Technical That is also completely fine. Your main focus can be: Client communication Meeting coordination Requirement gathering Project follow-up Documentation Relationship management Business operations I will help you learn the software terminology you need to understand the conversations. Training can include: Frontend and backend HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Node.js APIs PostgreSQL and MongoDB AWS and Firebase Docker Git and GitHub QA and software testing Agile and Scrum Software tickets and sprint workflows VS Code and Cursor ChatGPT, Claude, and GitHub Copilot You do not need to pretend to know something you do not know. If a client asks a detailed technical question outside your area, we can bring the appropriate technical team member into the discussion. My Role I will help manage the overall consulting operation, including: Finding and evaluating consulting opportunities Project and proposal strategy Technical planning Software architecture and development support Problem-solving Preparing team members before important meetings Helping with difficult technical questions Coordinating project delivery Supporting client relationships We will work together as a consulting team, with responsibilities divided based on each person’s strengths. Who Would Be a Great Fit? Technical Candidates I would especially like to hear from: Frontend Developers Backend Developers Full-Stack Developers Mobile Developers QA / Software Test Engineers DevOps / Cloud Engineers Data Engineers AI / Machine Learning Engineers UI/UX Designers Business Analysts Solution Architects Technical Project Managers You do not need to know every technology. Strong communication skills are important because this is not purely a coding role. Nontechnical Candidates I am also open to people from backgrounds such as: Customer Service Sales Business Development Account Management Recruiting Human Resources Virtual Assistance Administration Project Coordination Customer Success Marketing Teaching Hospitality Operations For nontechnical candidates, communication ability, professionalism, reliability, and willingness to learn are more important than previous IT experience. What I’m Looking For You should ideally: Live in Latin America Speak English comfortably Be confident communicating with international clients Be comfortable with Zoom or Google Meet Be reliable and responsive Be organized Be interested in a long-term collaboration Be willing to learn Be comfortable working with developers and business stakeholders Technical experience is strongly preferred, but not mandatory. A person who combines software experience + strong English communication + good client-facing skills would be an especially strong fit. Working Arrangement This will begin as a paid Upwork engagement. The initial work may include: Training and onboarding Project discussions Client communication Meeting preparation Research Requirement documentation Coordination Technical work when appropriate As we build trust and understand each other’s strengths, there may be opportunities to work together across additional consulting projects. Compensation and responsibilities will be agreed upon before each engagement based on the work involved. Long-Term Goal I am not only looking for someone to complete a single short-term task. My goal is to find a trustworthy partner who can help build a long-term international software consulting operation. If you are technical, we may collaborate on both client communication and software delivery. If you are nontechnical, you can focus primarily on client communication and business operations while gradually improving your technical understanding. The strongest candidate would ideally be someone who can eventually understand both sides: Client + Business + Technology How to Apply Please answer these questions: Which LATAM country and city are you located in?
