Remote Medical Billing Account Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Remote Medical Billing Account Manager to support our revenue cycle operations remotely on a full-time basis. This role is designed for someone who can step in quickly, manage day-to-day billing functions, and maintain consistency in claims processing, follow-up, collections, and account management. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working inside medical billing workflows and can operate independently with minimal supervision. Scope of Work - Responsibilities will include most or all of the following: - Review EOBs and ERAs to identify non-payment and denial reasons - Analyze and resolve claim denials and rejections - Review claims for proper diagnosis and procedure code linkage -Apply billing modifiers appropriately to ensure correct adjudication - Perform claims scrubbing and QA before submission - Manage claim queues and follow-up workflows - Submit initial and secondary claims based on payer guidelines - Research payer portals and insurance websites for billing updates and claim resolution - Maintain accurate billing documentation and account notes - Ensure timely follow-up on unpaid or rejected claims - Support account management and client communication as needed - Work independently while meeting productivity and quality expectations - Technical & Infrastructure Requirements Candidates must have the following minimum remote work setup requirements: - Computer Requirements - Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer required - Minimum Intel i5 processor or equivalent - Minimum 16GB RAM recommended - Minimum 256GB SSD storage required - Dual monitors preferred Internet Requirements Recommended internet setup: - Ping (Latency): Under 50 ms - Download Speed: 100+ Mbps - Upload Speed: 100+ Mbps - Fiber internet with wired LAN connection preferred Additional Requirements - Noise-canceling headset required - Webcam required - Quiet and professional workspace required - Backup internet connection preferred Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years of general U.S. medical billing / Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience required. - Strong hands-on medical billing experience across revenue cycle workflows required. - Experience with denial management, claims follow-up, and insurance verification preferred. - Ability to read and interpret EOBs and ERAs. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Previous remote work experience preferred. - Experience in high-volume medical billing environments is strongly preferred. - OBGYN medical billing and (eCW) experience strongly PREFERRED. Experience with one or more of the following systems is a plus: - eClinicalWorks - Aprima - Medisoft - Veradigm - Nextech - CureMD - Office Practicum - NextGen Please share your relevant medical billing and RCM experience, including the systems you have worked with and your experience with claims, denials, follow-up, collections, and account management. We are prioritizing candidates with at least 3 years of general medical billing experience. eClinicalWorks (eCW) and OBGYN billing experience are strongly preferred. Candidates should be able to quickly adapt to established workflows and work independently with minimal supervision. Schedule: 8 AM - 5PM CST (40 hrs/week) Remote Work
