Remote Project Manager – Mandarin Chinese | Part-Time | Long-Term

Project Overview We are looking for an experienced Freelance Project Manager with professional-level Mandarin Chinese and excellent English communication skills to support an international client in the financial services industry. This is a fully remote, long-term freelance engagement focused on managing and coordinating cross-border projects involving stakeholders across Europe and Southeast Asia. The ideal freelancer will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently with international teams, vendors, and stakeholders across different cultures and time zones. Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is essential because the role involves communication and coordination with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Manage projects from planning through execution and delivery. * Coordinate project timelines, milestones, priorities, and deliverables. * Coordinate communication and workflows between international stakeholders. * Manage communication and relationships with vendors, partners, and external stakeholders. * Monitor project progress and follow up on deadlines, actions, and deliverables. * Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and coordinate appropriate solutions. * Maintain clear project documentation, reports, and status updates. * Coordinate virtual meetings, follow-ups, and project-related activities. * Facilitate communication between English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. * Support cross-border initiatives involving teams across different countries and time zones. * Ensure stakeholders remain aligned on objectives, responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables. * Take ownership of assigned projects and proactively drive progress. Requirements Project Management Experience * Previous experience in Project Management, Project Coordination, Operations, or a related field. * Experience managing international or cross-border projects is strongly preferred. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders. * Strong vendor and stakeholder management capabilities. * Excellent problem-solving and follow-up skills. * Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain clear project documentation. Language & Communication * Professional or native-level proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required. * Excellent spoken and written English. * Experience communicating with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. * Strong understanding of Chinese business practices and cross-cultural communication. * Ability to communicate professionally with international stakeholders.
