# Remote Software Engineering Task Author (Private Repository Required) ## Overview We are hiring experienced software engineers who own qualifying private GitHub repositories to work on long-term software engineering task authoring projects. This opportunity is for developers who have real-world software engineering experience and can create high-quality engineering tasks, reference solutions, and automated tests on their own private repositories. ## Compensation - Fixed compensation per approved task. - Additional bonuses and repository incentives are available based on performance. - Compensation is fixed and non-negotiable. ## Mandatory Requirements To be considered, you **must**: - Own one or more qualifying private GitHub repositories. - Have previous professional software engineering experience. - Be proficient in one or more of the following: - Python - JavaScript - TypeScript - Java - Go - Rust - Have experience with Git and GitHub. - Be able to write clean, production-quality code. - Be comfortable creating reference solutions and automated tests. - Be able to work independently and follow detailed instructions. Applicants who do not own an eligible private repository will not be considered. ## Repository Requirements Your repository should generally include: - 8,000+ lines of first-party source code. - 50+ source files. - 50+ commits. - At least two weeks of development history. - Private repository ownership or full contribution rights. Public repositories and forks are not eligible. ## Responsibilities Projects may include: - Writing realistic software engineering tasks. - Creating feature requests, bug fixes, and enhancements. - Writing reference solution patches. - Creating automated unit and integration tests. - Preparing reproducible development environments. - Improving AI software engineering datasets. ## What We're Looking For - Strong software engineering skills. - Excellent debugging ability. - Strong Git and GitHub experience. - Experience writing automated tests. - Excellent written communication. - High attention to detail. - Reliable long-term professionals. ## Before You Apply By applying, you acknowledge that: - You own or have rights to an eligible private GitHub repository. - You understand compensation is fixed and non-negotiable. - You understand bonuses and repository incentives may be available. - You are confident in your ability to complete high-quality engineering tasks independently.
