PE/M&A Research Analyst — Enrich & Qualify a Target List (Short-Term, Database Access Required)

I'm a manufacturing operator and investor building relationships with US lower-middle-market independent sponsors and private equity funds focused on manufacturing and industrial services. I already have a built list of ~40 target firms with sector focus and websites. I don't need someone to find firms from scratch — I need an analyst with real database access to enrich, verify, and qualify the list, add named contacts, and surface strong net-new names I've missed. This is a fit only if you have direct access to paid data. Applicants relying on Google and free sources will not be a match. What you'll do: - Enrich each firm with current, verified data: fund status/vintage, dry powder, typical check size and EV range, recent platform deals and exits, and whether they're actively deploying - Add named decision-makers (partners / corporate development / heads of origination) with verified work emails and LinkedIn profiles - Qualify each firm against my criteria: lower middle market (~$10–100M EV), manufacturing / industrial services, and openness to operator-partners - Identify 10–20 strong net-new firms that fit the same profile - Deliver everything in my existing Excel format (columns provided), clean and source-noted Required: - Hands-on access to at least one institutional platform — PitchBook, Preqin, Grata, or Sourcescrub — and a contact tool such as Apollo, ZoomInfo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator - Prior private equity / M&A research or deal-sourcing experience - Strong attention to accuracy and clear source citations - Fluent written English Nice to have: - Familiarity with the independent-sponsor / lower-middle-market ecosystem - Experience with industrials or manufacturing sectors Engagement: - Short-term, fixed-scope project (roughly 1–2 weeks), with potential for ongoing work - I'll provide the starting list and the exact output template To apply, please answer: 1.
