I am seeking an experienced academic researcher to conduct a comprehensive literature review on daylight luminance in the threshold zone of road tunnel portals. The ideal candidate should have experience with scientific research, engineering or architecture literature, and technical writing. *Scope of Work* The objective is to develop a well-structured state-of-the-art review that traces the historical evolution of daylight luminance assessment methods for tunnel entrances. The review should establish a clear hierarchy of the major methodologies, metrics, and experimental approaches that have shaped the field over time. The review should include: - A chronological analysis of the development of the field, beginning with the earliest studies (e.g., the 1940s) and continuing through major milestones to the present. - An explanation of how assessment methods and performance metrics evolved over time, including the reasons for adopting newer approaches and the limitations of earlier methods. - A summary of the experimental, analytical, simulation-based, and parametric methodologies used by different researchers. - Recommendations on how the selected methodology can be implemented in practice, including simulation, experimental validation, parametric analysis, or hybrid approaches. *Deliverables* - A well-organized literature review with clear thematic and chronological structure. A comparative summary of key studies, methods, metrics, and findings. - Identification of research gaps and methodological limitations. - Recommendations for the most suitable research framework based on the existing literature. A comprehensive list of high-quality references from peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, standards, and technical reports. *Preferred Qualifications* - Strong background in civil engineering, transportation engineering, architecture, lighting engineering, or a related discipline. - Demonstrated experience conducting systematic or state-of-the-art literature reviews. - Excellent academic writing and critical analysis skills. - Ability to locate and synthesize high-quality scientific resources from reputable databases.
