Research Assistant for Economic Model

The Commonstock-Reasnor project, a new nonprofit research and education organization, seeks a research assistant to verify the source of every figure in a cross-national economic model. The work is defined and protocol-driven. Each figure in the model must be traced to its primary source at the OECD, Eurostat, or a national statistical agency, confirmed against that source, and logged. Where a figure cannot be confirmed, the gap is documented rather than resolved. A written protocol and a log template are provided. The task is careful execution against them, not independent research design. What we need: Graduate-level training in economics, public policy, library and information science, or a related field. Comfort navigating statistical databases and large tables. Meticulous and literal. The most valuable trait in this role is a willingness to flag rather than assume. Paid trial: Before any larger engagement, we will ask a small number of candidates to verify ten specified figures against their sources and log the results using our protocol. This takes about two hours and pays a flat $100, whether or not we proceed together. Scope: Estimated 50 to 70 hours for the full verification pass. Please propose your rate.
