Budget: $15–35/hour Time: Expected 20-30 hours Format: 16x20 framed piece (final layout) Project Overview I’m creating a commemorative poster celebrating a company that recently closed after operating out of about 8 different buildings across San Francisco since its founding. I need someone to research and source photos of each building’s front facade (dated between 1987 and today), then transform them into a consistent, cohesive visual style for a single framed layout. What You’ll Do 1. Research — Find photographs of the front exterior of ~8 specific San Francisco addresses, each from a period when the company occupied that location (dates ranging 1987–present). Sources may include historical archives, real estate listings, Street View, or other public image sources. 2. Propose style options — Research and present a few different layout/style directions (e.g. illustration style, black-and-white vs. other treatments, overall composition). We’ll align on one direction together before moving into full design. 3. Convert to matching style — Transform each building photo into a single consistent style across all 8 (for example, a black-and-white sketch/illustration look — though this could end up being something else once we discuss options). Open to your recommendation on the exact approach — clean line art, architectural sketch, or AI-assisted rendering are all welcome, as long as the final set looks cohesive together. 4. Layout — Design a single 16x20 layout featuring: - A title at the top (the company name) All 8 building illustrations or images, each with its address labeled below it - A clean, sophisticated design suitable for framing Ideal Skills - Photo/archival research (comfortable digging through historical or real estate sources) - Illustration or photo-to-sketch conversion (traditional or AI-assisted tools, Photoshop filters, or similar) - Poster/print layout design (typography, grid layout, print-ready file prep) - Attention to visual consistency across multiple source images of varying quality/era Deliverables - Print-ready file (PDF or high-res file) sized for a 16x20 frame - Source images/citations for each building photo used Timeline Open to discussing — please note your estimated turnaround in your proposal.
