Revenue Management
Worldwide
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We run a strong revenue management strategy across three hotels: Aloft Austin Southwest, Holiday Inn Express Arboretum, and Staybridge Suites Houston Clear Lake. All three are elite products, rated above their market averages, and full most of the time. That part is working. What we want now is to grow the wing. A revenue manager running at full capacity handles roughly twelve hotels. We have three. The rest of that capacity is yours to sell, and that is where most of this job lives. Expect roughly 70% of your week on business development and 30% on revenue management, and expect that mix to be the reason this role exists. So we are hiring an analyst profile with a growth mindset. You will price our portfolio for profit rather than for occupancy, and you will spend the larger share of your time finding hotel owners who want the same result and closing them. We are not looking for a long revenue management resume. We are looking for someone who thinks analytically, stays decisive when the data is incomplete, and knows how to go get clients. ABOUT US At Pathfinder Hospitality, we believe in Platinum Service: doing unto others better than they could imagine. That philosophy drives how we treat our guests, our clients, and our team members. Here, you are not just filling a role. You are joining a team that invests in your growth and rewards excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Business Development -Prospect and go outbound. This is an outside sales role. You research your market, build your own target list, and open your own conversations. No appointment setter fills your calendar. -Sell the service. Run discovery calls, build proposals, and close third-party revenue management engagements. -Prove the value in their numbers. Show an owner what they are leaving on the table today and what the engagement returns, in RevPAR index movement and profit contribution. -Retain and grow accounts. Deliver results to signed clients, report on them clearly, and expand the relationship over time. Pricing & Profit Optimization -Find the tipping point. Set and adjust rates across the portfolio to locate the point where a higher rate starts costing more in lost bookings than it adds in revenue, then price just under it. -Optimize for profit, not top line. Judge every pricing decision on what it contributes after acquisition and service costs, not on ADR or occupancy alone. -Manage inventory and restrictions. Use minimum length of stay, closeouts, and channel controls to capture demand around conferences, events, and seasonal peaks, and know when to release them. -Forecast and budget. Build the revenue side of the annual budget and rolling forecasts for each property, with stated assumptions on demand patterns, seasonality, and special events. -Read the market. Track competitive positioning, rate parity, and demand shifts, and turn what you see into specific pricing actions rather than observations. -Protect the strategy everywhere it gets applied. Support General Managers and sales teams so group, extended stay, and negotiated quotes hold the pricing strategy. When occupancy softens, lead Playstorm sessions to raise perceived value through amenities and packaging before touching price, and grow the channels that cost us least. AI-Enabled Execution -Use AI to cover more ground. Apply AI tools to compile rate and market data, run repetitive pricing checks, build lead lists, draft outreach, and prepare client reporting. -Keep judgment in the loop. Validate what the tools produce. Speed is only useful if the output holds up. -Improve the process. Identify where manual work in the rate and reporting cycle can be automated, then build or propose the fix. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE -A pipeline built from your own prospecting and converting into signed revenue management clients. -Rates that capture demand at the peaks and hold profit through the troughs, with decisions you can explain. -Forecasts accurate enough that leadership plans against them. -Pricing calls made and defended on incomplete data instead of deferred until it is clean. -Property teams quoting confidently because they understand the strategy behind the rate. JOB REQUIREMENTS -Strong analytical thinking: Comfortable working in numbers and able to dig into data to find what is driving a result. Revenue management experience is welcome but not required. Platforms can be learned; the thinking cannot. -Comfort with gray: Much of this role has no clean answer. You need to make the call, act on it, and adjust, without waiting for perfect data or handing the decision upward. -Sales drive: You generate the leads and you close them. Cold outreach and persistent follow-up are core parts of the week, not occasional ones. -AI fluency: Working comfort using AI tools for research, data work, and content production, plus the judgment to check what comes back. -Commercial judgment: A working understanding of supply and demand, and the discipline to price for profit rather than for occupancy. -Communication: Able to explain the same pricing decision to a General Manager, an owner, and a prospect, at the right depth for each. -English proficiency: Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English. Client-facing calls, emails, proposals, and negotiations are conducted in English with US-based decision makers. -Availability: Able to work consistently during US Central Time business hours from a stable remote setup. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS -Fully Remote & Globally Inclusive: Work from anywhere. We trust great talent to do great work, wherever they are. -A role with real ownership: You set the pricing strategy and you build the client base. Both outcomes are visibly yours. -Growth Opportunities: Structured onboarding, learning and development programs, and mentorship from experienced leaders. -Mission-Driven Culture: A company that values mentorship, transformation, and long-term careers, not just jobs. -People-First Environment: Platinum Service applies to our team, not just our guests. You will be seen, supported, and celebrated. -Time Off & Wellness: 8 paid holidays, flexible PTO and vacation, birthday pay, and a Mental Health & Wellness Program, including access to a Life Coach.
