Craig Group is seeking a technically skilled and solutions-oriented Revenue Operations Specialist with deep hands-on experience in CRMs, JavaScript, and Google Tag Manager (GTM), along with a solid foundation in programming and marketing analytics. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, enjoys working across systems, and has the technical acumen to bridge marketing, sales, and operations. Your ability to debug, automate, and implement solutions—not just configure tools—is critical to success in this role. You’ll work at the intersection of RevOps, web tracking, and automation, empowering clients with clean, actionable data and scalable systems that support strategic decision-making. This is a remote, 1099 position that requires approximately 20-25 hours per week. Who is Craig Group? We work with management teams and operating partners to identify the highest-value segments, clarify ICP and messaging, and build a repeatable revenue engine across marketing, sales, and customer expansion, then implement the plan so results show up in pipeline quality, win rate, deal size, recurring revenue, profitability, and EBITDA. What does a RevOps Specialist do? Work as a vital part of the client delivery team, focusing on marketing automation tool enablement. Connecting the dots of marketing attribution to revenue is the goal. Our clients are growing rapidly and need to have data-driven decision-making power for where to put their next sales and marketing dollars. Responsibilities - Own and optimize CRM/MAP integrations, primarily with Salesforce and HubSpot, with a strong emphasis on technical configuration and custom automation - Implement and maintain conversion tracking and event setups using Google Tag Manager, with custom JavaScript for dataLayer enhancements and advanced tag management - Partner with marketing and sales teams to build and own reporting dashboards (HubSpot, Looker Studio, Tableau, etc.) with accurate, trustworthy data - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical tracking issues across web properties and platforms - Write and manage custom JavaScript and light programming scripts to extend HubSpot, GTM, or other tech stack functionality - Strategize and implement efficient solutions in HubSpot (and other CRMs) using automation, custom workflows, and third-party integrations - Collaborate with internal and external developers where needed, serving as the technical liaison across teams - Monitor data integrity across systems, proactively identifying and resolving data issues - Evaluate and implement new tools, APIs, and integrations to improve campaign performance and scalability - Contribute to the documentation and evolution of RevOps processes and playbooks - Stay current on data privacy, compliance, and tagging best practices, and advise clients accordingly Skills & Experience Who You Are - A technical problem solver with the ability to identify root causes and implement robust, scalable solutions - Confident writing and debugging JavaScript, using browser dev tools, and working with tracking scripts - Comfortable using and customizing Google Tag Manager, including setting up custom events, variables, and triggers - Experienced in HubSpot (2+ years), including workflow automation, lead routing, scoring, and data hygiene - Able to communicate technical concepts clearly with non-technical stakeholders - Comfortable juggling multiple client projects, timelines, and shifting priorities - Analytical and curious—you think in systems and thrive on figuring things out - Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through Minimum Requirements - 3+ years of Revenue Operations, Marketing Ops, or similar technical operations experience - 2+ years of hands-on experience with HubSpot and Google Tag Manager - Proficient in JavaScript and general programming fundamentals (any language/platform experience is a plus) - Familiarity with marketing attribution models, web analytics, and dataLayer structures - Experience with BI/reporting tools (HubSpot Reports, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) Bonus Points For - Experience with multiple CRMs or MAPs (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pardot, Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics) - Experience with APIs, webhook handling, or middleware tools (Zapier, Make, Workato, etc.) - Understanding of SEO, page performance, and how tags/tracking can impact site behavior - Exposure to SQL, Python, or back-end logic to support more advanced automation and data transformation
