Revit Draftsperson Needed for Residential & Commercial Overflow Work (Ongoing, Flexible)

Job Description: Keays Designs is a growing building design studio delivering residential and small commercial projects across South East Queensland, Australia. We are looking for a capable, efficient Revit Draftsperson to assist with overflow work on a project-by-project basis. This is a flexible, remote freelance opportunity perfect for someone looking for a steady side hustle with real project exposure. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll assist across a range of small-to-medium projects (Residential renovations/extensions, house raises, new builds, and commercial fit-outs). Your responsibilities will include: - Producing clear, buildable drawing sets in Autodesk Revit (RVT Template will be provided) - Updating drawings based on designer/builder markups quickly and accurately. - Assisting from concept through to approval documentation. - Picking up and continuing existing models, as well as providing models you're working on - Opportunity: For the right person, there is a path to running smaller projects independently over time. Workload & Availability - Project-by-Project Basis: Work will scale up and down depending on our pipeline. - Fast Turnaround is Critical: While the hours are flexible (evenings and early mornings are perfectly fine), you must be reliable and able to meet tight deadlines when urgent turnaround work is required. What We’re Looking For - Expert Revit Skills: Clean, logical modelling is non-negotiable. Other team members must be able to jump into your files seamlessly. - Australian Building Knowledge: A solid understanding of Australian residential construction, the National Construction Code (NCC), and key Australian Standards. - Detail-Oriented: Exceptional drafting quality and the ability to interpret markups accurately. - Design Mindset: We value someone who is genuinely interested in design, not just mindless drafting.
