The core decisions (colours, structure) are already made — this is about applying them consistently and cleanly across three sites, plus building one new page. Speed matters more than creative exploration here.* --- ## The project, briefly Three linked sites under one personal hub: - **Rose Advisory** — strategic business advisory (site built, another designer is populating image slots now) - **Rose Academic** — scholarly research profile (site built, same designer populating image slots now) - **Rose Novum** — the personal hub connecting the two above (a third project, Rose Adaptive, joins later — not needed now). **This page still needs to be built.** **Your scope is separate from the other designer's work.** They're handling imagery/texture assets on Advisory and Academic. You're handling: the wordmark, font application, supporting palette, and building the Rose Novum hub page. These can run in parallel without conflict. ## Timeline I need this fast — please treat this as execution against a clear spec, not open creative exploration. Happy to answer quick clarifying questions, but the core decisions below aren't up for revisiting. ## Scope note This brief covers **wordmark, favicon, typography, and colour palette only.** I'm building the Rose Novum hub page myself, so no site-building work is needed from you — just the visual system, applied consistently, that the hub (and the other two sites) will be built with. ## Wordmark — start fresh, don't use existing files A previous designer produced wordmark files in **Cinzel** — please don't use these as a starting point. Cinzel reads too grand/monumental (closer to an inscription or certificate) for what this needs, which is quieter and more considered. - **New direction: a serif in the register of Lora** (or a close equivalent if you have a preferred alternative in that same family — considered, scholarly, not ornate, not overly geometric-modern). Propose an alternative if you think something serves better, but it should sit in this same quiet-literary register. - Wordmark only — no icon, no symbol, no monogram. - Same lockup and spacing applied consistently across all three site names (Rose Advisory / Rose Academic / Rose Novum) — only the text changes. ## Favicon A simple monogram — an "R," in a circle, drawn from the new wordmark's serif letterform. One version only, used identically across all three sites (no need to vary it per site — it's only ever seen one at a time, in a browser tab, at a very small size). Colour: the new charcoal ink (below), not an accent colour — keep it neutral and legible at 16px. ## Typography - **Headlines/wordmark:** the serif direction above (Lora or equivalent) - **Body copy/UI:** a clean sans-serif — Inter, Public Sans, or Work Sans all work - Apply this pairing consistently across all three sites. ## Colour — the accents are locked, please don't revisit the hues (exact hex can flex slightly) - **Shared "ink" colour** (primary text/headline colour across all three sites, replacing black): a warm dark charcoal, around `#2A2A27` — not pure black, keeps things in the same warm register as the paper background. - **Rose Advisory accent** (used sparingly — links, small details): teal, `#124241` - **Rose Academic accent**: a muted clay/warm brown, around `#8A5A44` - **Rose Novum accent**: a muted sage/olive, around `#7C8268` — deliberately chosen to sit between Advisory's teal and Academic's clay, since Novum is the hub connecting both. **What I do need from you:** the *supporting* palette — background tone, neutrals/greys, any tints or shades needed to round out the system — applied consistently across all three sites.
