SBA / U.S. Treasury Debt Attorney Needed – Federal Debt Collection & Resolution

We are looking for an experienced attorney or specialist with substantial experience handling SBA loans that have been referred to the U.S. Treasury for collection. An SBA-related debt has been transferred to a Treasury-contracted collection agency (Pioneer Credit Recovery). We need someone who can review the situation and determine: -Whether the debt, interest, penalties, and additional charges are accurate and legally enforceable -What options exist to dispute or challenge the balance -Whether the debt can potentially be returned to the SBA or otherwise resolved before further collection action -Options for settlement, compromise, payment arrangements, or reduction of penalties/interest -The best strategy for communicating and negotiating with the SBA, Treasury, and/or collection agency Ideal candidate: -Attorney experienced in SBA debt and federal debt collection -Experience dealing with the U.S. Department of the Treasury/Bureau of the Fiscal Service -Familiarity with SBA loan defaults, Treasury referrals, administrative offsets, and DOJ collection -Experience negotiating federal debt settlements or compromises -Able to review the original loan documents and collection notices and provide a clear strategy
