SDK Developer

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Application Developer – React Native SDK Engineer with 2–6 years of experience in building reusable mobile SDKs and libraries. The primary focus of this role is to design and develop a React Native SDK while collaborating on the underlying native Android and iOS implementations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, and a solid understanding of Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift) native development for building bridge layers and native modules. Experience with Flutter development is an added advantage. Key Responsibilities SDK Development and App development • Design, develop, and maintain a high-performance React Native SDK using JavaScript/TypeScript. • Build and maintain React Native Native Modules and TurboModules that interface with native Android and iOS SDKs. • Collaborate with Android and iOS engineers to ensure feature parity and API consistency across platforms. • Design clean, versioned, backward-compatible public APIs that are easy for client developers to integrate. • Implement secure communication with backend services using REST APIs. • Develop features such as device information collection, integrity checks, secure authentication, and encrypted data transmission. • Optimize SDK startup time, memory usage, binary size, battery consumption, and network performance. • Ensure compatibility across multiple React Native, Android, and iOS versions. • Resolve dependency conflicts, ProGuard/R8 issues, CocoaPods/SPM integration issues, and React Native compatibility challenges. Developer Experience • Create comprehensive SDK documentation, integration guides, API references, and sample applications. • Develop example React Native applications demonstrating SDK integration. • Assist customers and client developers with SDK integration, troubleshooting, and debugging. • Maintain semantic versioning, release notes, and migration guides. Required Skills & Qualifications • 2–6 years of experience in mobile application or SDK development. • Proven experience developing reusable SDKs, libraries, frameworks, or plugins (application development alone is not sufficient). • Strong experience with: o React Native (JavaScript/TypeScript, Native Modules/TurboModules) • Working knowledge of: o Flutter (Dart) o Kotlin and Java (Android) o Swift (iOS) • Experience designing stable public APIs with a focus on backward compatibility and version management. • Strong understanding of: o Android and iOS application lifecycle o Multithreading and concurrency (Coroutines, GCD, Async/Await) o Memory management and performance optimization • Experience integrating REST APIs with secure networking practices, including retries, timeout handling, and certificate pinning. • Experience publishing SDKs or libraries to package repositories such as Maven, CocoaPods, SPM, npm, or pub.dev. • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and instrumentation testing. Nice to Have • Experience with Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI. • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP). • Knowledge of WebRTC, camera frameworks, biometric capture, or identity verification SDKs. • Experience with analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools.
