Summary

We are looking for an experienced SEO content writer with skincare, grooming, dermatology, health or wellness experience to develop high-quality educational content focused specifically on men’s skincare in India. This is an initial project for approximately 15 SEO-focused articles, with the possibility of ongoing work. We are not looking for generic beauty content. The content should address conditions Indian men commonly encounter — including hard water, pollution, heat, humidity, sun exposure, acne, oily skin and ageing — while making skincare simple and approachable for men who may currently have little or no skincare routine. Proposed Content Areas – 15 Articles The topics below are directional. The selected writer will be expected to perform India-specific keyword and competitor research and recommend final SEO-optimized titles, keywords and positioning. If research identifies significant keyword/search-intent overlap between topics, we expect the writer to recommend combining, repositioning or replacing topics before writing begins. Men’s Skincare & Regular Maintenance 1. Do Men Really Need Skincare? What Happens When You Do Nothing Explain what can happen when men consistently neglect cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection, including oil/dirt buildup, clogged pores, dryness, pigmentation, UV damage and visible signs of ageing. 2. The Simple Skincare Routine Every Indian Man Should Understand Explain a straightforward daily maintenance routine and why cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection each serve different purposes without making skincare unnecessarily complicated. 3. Men’s Skin vs Women’s Skin: Is There Actually a Difference? Explore differences such as skin thickness, sebum production, facial hair, shaving and ageing patterns and what these may mean for everyday skincare. Hard Water & Indian Environmental Conditions 4. What Does Hard Water Actually Do to Men’s Skin? Explain hard water, mineral deposits and how repeated exposure may contribute to dryness, tightness, irritation and skin-barrier issues. Claims should be appropriately qualified and evidence-based. 5. Is Hard Water One Reason Your Skincare Routine Isn’t Working? Explore how water quality may interact with cleansing and skincare and why some people experience dryness, irritation or tightness despite using skincare products. 6. Hard Water + Pollution + Heat + Humidity: What Indian Conditions Can Do to Men’s Skin Explain how environmental conditions common across Indian cities can interact with sweat, oil, dust and frequent washing and what men can practically do about them. 7. Pollution and Men’s Skin: What Daily Exposure in Indian Cities Can Do Explore particulate pollution, dust and environmental exposure, particularly for commuters and people spending significant time outdoors. Acne, Oil & Skin Maintenance 8. Why Do Men Get Oily Skin and Acne? Explain sebum production, hormones, sweating, humidity, clogged pores, shaving and relevant lifestyle factors. 9. Adult Acne in Men: Why Acne Doesn’t Always End After Your Teenage Years Explain why some men continue experiencing acne through their 20s and 30s, practical management strategies and when professional dermatological advice may be appropriate. 10. Why Your Face Can Feel Dry Even When You Have Oily Skin Explain the difference between oil production and skin hydration and how harsh cleansers, soap, over-washing and environmental factors may contribute to tightness or barrier disruption. Ageing & Preventive Skincare 11. What Happens to Men’s Skin in Their 20s, 30s and 40s? Explain changes including collagen, cumulative sun exposure, pigmentation, dryness and fine lines and why regular maintenance matters. 12. Maintenance vs Acne vs Ageing: Understanding What Your Skin Actually Needs Help readers distinguish between maintaining generally healthy skin, managing acne-prone skin and addressing ageing concerns rather than treating skincare as one universal routine. Sun Protection & SPF Education 13. UVA vs UVB: What Every Indian Man Should Know Explain UVA and UVB simply, how they affect skin differently and their relationship with tanning, sunburn, pigmentation, photoageing and cumulative skin damage. 14. What Does SPF Actually Mean and Why Does It Matter? Explain what SPF measures, what it does and does not indicate, broad-spectrum protection and why sunscreen can be relevant even for people who rarely experience obvious sunburn. 15. SPF 30 vs SPF 50 vs SPF 60: What’s the Actual Difference? Compare SPF levels practically, explain the diminishing increase in measured UVB protection and discuss why adequate application, broad-spectrum protection and reapplication matter. SEO Deliverables We expect the writer to contribute to the SEO/content strategy, not simply write articles from supplied titles. Before article writing begins, the selected freelancer should provide a content and keyword map for all 15 articles, including: * Recommended SEO title/topic * Primary keyword * Relevant secondary and long-tail keywords * Search intent * India-specific estimated search volume and keyword difficulty/competition, where available * Tool/source used for keyword data * Competitor/SERP observations * Potential keyword cannibalization/overlap between articles We will review this before proceeding with the full writing phase. Each completed article should include: * SEO-optimized H1/title * Appropriate H2/H3 structure * Primary and secondary keyword targeting * Meta title * Meta description * FAQ opportunities where relevant * Internal-linking recommendations * Credible references/source links supporting substantive scientific or dermatological claims * Final proofreading and publication-ready formatting Article length will generally be around 1,000–1,500 words, but we do not want articles padded simply to reach a word count. Length should reflect the topic and search intent. Scientific Accuracy & Sources Because this content discusses skincare, acne, UV exposure, skin barriers and other health-adjacent subjects, factual accuracy is extremely important. Scientific and dermatological claims should be supported by credible sources such as peer-reviewed research, dermatology organizations, government/public-health sources or established medical institutions. The writer should be familiar with E-E-A-T/YMYL considerations for health-adjacent content. We do not want exaggerated or fear-based claims regarding hard water, pollution, acne, ageing or UV exposure. Writing Style Our target reader is an Indian man who may know very little about skincare. The writing should therefore be: * Simple and practical * Conversational but credible * Science-backed without sounding like a medical textbook * Educational rather than overly promotional * Easy for a skincare beginner to understand * Relevant to Indian conditions wherever appropriate * Engaging without clickbait or exaggerated claims AI & Originality We are not looking for someone who simply generates 15 articles using ChatGPT or another AI tool and submits them. AI tools may be used as part of a research or writing workflow, but the final content must demonstrate real keyword research, fact-checking, credible sourcing, human editing and original thought. Content must be original and must not copy or closely paraphrase competitor articles. We reserve the right to check content for plagiarism and source accuracy. Ideal Freelancer Preference will be given to writers with experience in: * SEO content writing * Skincare / dermatology / grooming / wellness * Indian consumer audiences * Men’s grooming or men’s wellness * D2C consumer brands * Keyword research * Search-intent and competitor analysis * On-page SEO Selection Process Candidates will be evaluated based on relevant writing samples, SEO experience, research ability, subject-matter familiarity, and overall fit for the project. The selected freelancer will be awarded the complete 15-article project, with the possibility of ongoing work based on performance. When Applying Please provide: * 2–3 relevant SEO writing samples * Skincare/beauty/health writing samples, if available * Examples of articles you have written that currently rank on Google, if available * SEO/keyword research tools you use * A brief explanation of your keyword and competitor research process * A brief explanation of how you fact-check skincare/scientific claims * Your total price for the complete 15-article project * Expected turnaround time Additionally, please recommend 3 SEO topics or keyword opportunities for men’s skincare specifically in India that are NOT already included in the 15 topics above, and briefly explain why you believe each is worth targeting. We are looking for someone who can contribute to the content and SEO strategy, not simply execute supplied article titles. There is potential for ongoing work based on the quality of the initial project.
