SEO Copywriter Needed - 3 Trial Articles (WordPress, Human-Written Only, Ongoing Potential)

We're hiring an SEO copywriter on a contract basis to produce content for our clients, plus help refine SEO copy on an existing healthcare site. This is a zero-AI job. We need real human writers. AI-generated (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) or AI-assisted content will not be accepted. The Work Trial: 3 articles, $250 each ($750 total) General content covering topics like rainwater collection systems, fire suppression water tanks, and whole-house potable water systems. Topics will be provided; you'll need to research and write accurate, well-sourced content. This content will appear on the main pages on the website. - 1,000-1,500 words per article/webpage - Must cite credible sources, including .gov and .edu sites where relevant - SEO-optimized (on-page best practices: headers, keyword placement, meta description, internal linking suggestions) - Published directly into WordPress, or delivered ready to paste in Possible secondary work: light SEO copyediting on an existing client's site (this would be refining existing page copy for SEO, not full articles). There's opportunity for ongoing monthly content work across our client roster. Requirements - Proven SEO copywriting experience - please include writing samples/portfolio with your application (required, not optional) - Comfortable working directly with clients as a representative of Higher Ground Digital Marketing - Strong research skills, comfortable sourcing and citing .gov/.edu/authoritative sources - Real human writing - no AI-generated drafts - Bonus: SEO knowledge (site audits, schema, local SEO keyword research tools like SEMrush/Ahrefs/Google Search Console) - Bonus: experience writing for regulated/YMYL industries (healthcare, wellness) How to Apply Send: 1. 2-3 writing samples (SEO content preferred, ideally something you can show published/live) 2.
