SEO / GEO Consultant & Account Manager

Freelance SEO / GEO Consultant & Account Manager 5–15 hours per week | Remote | Ongoing freelance role We’re a UK search marketing agency looking for an experienced SEO / GEO Consultant & Account Manager to work with us on an ongoing freelance basis. This isn't a junior SEO delivery role. We're looking for someone who can confidently oversee strategy, interpret data and recommendations, identify what will actually move the needle, and communicate clearly with clients. What we're looking for You should have strong, hands-on experience across: SEO – technical, on-page, content, keyword strategy and authority building GEO / AI Search– improving brand visibility across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI search platforms *Digital PR / authority building– understanding how links, brand mentions, citations and third-party sources contribute to search and AI visibility SME SEO – a proven track record of generating measurable results for small and medium-sized businesses AI-native working– very comfortable using AI as part of your everyday workflow, ideally including Claude, Claude Code, Skills, ChatGPT and agentic/automated workflows You don't necessarily need to be an AI developer, but we want someone who is genuinely enthusiastic about using AI to make agency delivery faster and better rather than someone who still approaches SEO entirely manually. The role You'll work as a freelancer representing our agency and help oversee a small portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include: * Reviewing client SEO/GEO performance and identifying priorities * Overseeing and contributing to client strategy * Reviewing AI-generated analysis and recommendations * Turning data into clear, commercially sensible next steps * Communicating with clients via email * Leading client calls on Google Meet * Coordinating with our internal team and other freelancers * Helping ensure agreed actions actually get implemented * Spotting opportunities or problems before the client has to ask We're increasingly building AI and automation into our agency delivery model, so you'll also help us develop and refine how humans and AI work together across client accounts. People skills matter Technical knowledge alone isn't enough for this role. You'll be representing our agency directly with clients, so we're looking for someone who is: * Confident and personable on client calls * Excellent at explaining complicated SEO/GEO concepts simply * Commercially minded * Proactive rather than waiting to be told what to do * Reliable and organised * Comfortable challenging recommendations when something doesn't make sense * Able to build genuine relationships with SME owners and marketing teams ## Availability We're initially looking for approximately 5–15 hours per week, depending on client requirements. The workload may vary from week to week, so flexibility and reasonably responsive availability during UK working hours is important.
