SEO/GEO Content Associate - AI Search + Fact-Checking
Worldwide
We are looking for an unusually sharp writer-editor to work alongside a strategy lead on a B2B software client in a regulated category. This is a high-volume content operation. You will help research, draft, edit, fact-check, and improve a substantial library of live content. The standard does not drop to make the volume work. If you want a calm queue and a few articles per month, this is probably not the right role. If you have worked at pace and know how to triage without dropping verification, keep reading. The job is not "make the copy sound better." It is to notice the thing that is wrong when it looks right, then fix it or flag it clearly before it reaches the next person. What you will do Fact-check load-bearing claims against primary sources, including when the obvious source is unavailable. Edit and draft content that an expert would be willing to forward. Read SERPs and keyword data as evidence, not as instructions to accept the brief uncritically. Apply a detailed writing and editorial rule set, while identifying genuine conflicts between rules. Run pre-publish checks for links, dates, repeated statistics, banned patterns, and other mechanical defects. Use AI assistance productively while checking its output and disclosing how it was used. Gradually take on research, briefs, CMS work, reporting support, and rewrite sweeps as judgment is demonstrated. You are likely a strong fit if You write with a point of view, concrete language, and enough depth that a practitioner would share the work. You have found an error in work that already looked finished and can explain the method you used. You can argue against a conclusion you would prefer to be true. You know how to find a second or third source when a page is gone, blocked, or incomplete - and when to stop and flag the limitation honestly. You can work from a detailed rulebook without either ignoring it or treating it as beyond criticism. You have a practical triage instinct for high-volume work. You use AI tools regularly but do not outsource judgment to them. You give direct feedback and take direct feedback without defensiveness. Helpful, but not required Experience with SEO, GEO/AEO, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, GA4, a headless CMS, B2B SaaS, or regulated subject matter is useful. Legal or industry credentials are not required and will not substitute for writing quality and judgment. Engagement details Part-time, remote, ongoing contract. Strong US Pacific overlap preferred. Negotiable rates for the right candidate The first 30 days are a paid trial with a clear exit on either side. Scope and fee can grow with demonstrated capability, with a review around day 90. Confidentiality and process The client identity is disclosed only after a signed NDA. Before signature, please do not ask for or share identifying details; the approved description is "a B2B software client in a regulated category." The work is confidential and is not portfolio-eligible by default. AI use with client material is governed by an approved-tools schedule: Claude and Claude Code may be approved for specified uses, while other tools touching client material are prohibited. The process is: Proposal and portfolio screen. 30-minute conversation and conflict screen. Signed NDA and AI-tools schedule. Paid $100 three-part test: a seeded edit, a one-page strategy memo, and a short refutation exercise, taking about three hours. 60-minute live working session. Reference check and offer. Make sure you fill out the screening questions. THESE ARE MANDATORY to be considered. Not filling these out will lead you to be autorejected.
