We're post-launch with a growing user base and some early paying customers, and now we want to build out our organic search presence properly. Specifically: Backlink strategy and outreach: identify and land placements on editorial sites, "best portfolio/resume builder" roundups, and relevant directories Digital PR: pitch journalists and bloggers who cover website builders, career tools, or startups Competitor backlink gap analysis: our closest competitors are Kickresume, Butternut, self.cv, dockpage, and Craftfolio. Find where they're getting links that we're not On-page and technical SEO fixes as needed to support ranking (we can loop in our dev if something needs implementation) Regular reporting on links secured, DA/DR movement, and organic traffic growth We already have some groundwork done: a keyword seed list and an initial outreach list of relevant editorial targets. Ideal candidate Proven track record of building real backlinks (not just directory spam), ideally for a SaaS or startup Comfortable with Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar tools for research and reporting Experience with cold outreach / journalist pitching that actually gets replies Can work independently and communicate progress clearly without much hand-holding Nice to have Experience in the career tools, resume, or website builder space Familiarity with AI search visibility (how ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews cite sources) in addition to traditional Google SEO
