SEO Specialist

Budget: $1,000 per month Hours: Up to 10 hours per week Contract: Ongoing freelance role, starting with an initial 1-month trial We are looking for an experienced SEO specialist to take ownership of the SEO performance of an established UK digital marketing website. Our priority is to reverse recent ranking declines, increase relevant organic traffic and ultimately generate more enquiries, free PPC audits and sales. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage our overall SEO strategy. Diagnose ranking and organic traffic declines and prioritise the highest-impact improvements. Manage technical SEO and maintain strong website health. Work towards maintaining Semrush Site Health at 92%+ and AI Search Health at 82%+. Manage our link-building programme and secure approximately 10 relevant, good-quality backlinks per month. Monitor and improve our 16 priority keywords in Wincher, working towards stronger Top 10 visibility and a median position of 3 or better. Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 performance and identify opportunities to increase organic traffic and conversions. Improve on-page SEO, internal linking, content targeting, authority and AI search visibility. Recommend and implement other SEO improvements where they are likely to have a meaningful commercial impact. Provide brief weekly updates and a concise monthly performance summary. Paid link placements, specialist content or additional software costs are not included in the $1,000 monthly budget and must be approved separately. Our Marketing Coordinator will continue to assist with Yoast optimisation of new blog posts and basic SEO administration, allowing you to focus on strategy, technical SEO, link building and performance. What We're Looking For You should have strong experience with: Technical SEO Ethical link building Google Search Console Google Analytics / GA4 WordPress Keyword research and rank tracking On-page SEO and internal linking Diagnosing ranking and traffic declines Experience with Semrush, Wincher, Yoast and AI search optimisation is highly desirable.
