Sage Implementation Expert

We are transitioning from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct as part of a planned finance systems upgrade. An initial implementation phase is in progress, and we're looking for an experienced Sage Intacct consultant to review current progress, advise on remaining work, and support us on an ongoing hourly basis through go-live. This is an ongoing advisory engagement rather than a one-time project. We want a consultant we can rely on regularly — reviewing configuration, validating data, and helping our team make sound decisions as we complete the migration. ***Background We currently use QuickBooks [Online/Desktop — specify] for day-to-day accounting. Initial Sage Intacct setup work is underway. We'd like an independent review of the current configuration and migration progress before finalizing the remaining scope. You'll have access to review the existing Intacct tenant and provide recommendations before we agree on next steps. ***Phase 1: Assessment (please quote hourly, estimate ~10-20 hours) Review current Sage Intacct configuration: entities, chart of accounts, dimensions, modules enabled (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Order Entry, etc.), user roles/permissions. Compare against QuickBooks data to confirm alignment (accounts, classes/departments, customers/vendors, open transactions, historical data). Assess data migration progress and data integrity. Flag any configuration items worth revisiting before proceeding further (e.g., dimension structure, GL mapping). Deliverable: a written assessment report with a completion estimate, a prioritized list of recommendations, and a roadmap with time estimates for completing the migration. ***Phase 2 (following assessment): Ongoing Advisory Based on the assessment, we'll define a scope of work together for completing the migration. We expect to need ongoing hourly support for: configuration decisions, data migration validation, month-end cutover planning, process documentation, and basic troubleshooting as we run parallel books during transition. You may also be asked to review work done by other contractors/internal staff, not necessarily do all hands-on-keyboard work yourself. ***What We're Looking For Proven hands-on experience implementing and configuring Sage Intacct (not Sage 50/100/X3). Experience migrating companies from QuickBooks to Intacct specifically — you understand the common pitfalls (dimension mapping, historical data, reconciling open AR/AP, multi-entity setup if relevant). Comfortable doing an independent, candid assessment of someone else's partial work — we want honest findings, not just reassurance. Strong communicator — able to explain accounting/system tradeoffs to a non-technical stakeholder. Available for ongoing hourly engagement (not a one-and-done gig); reasonably responsive during business hours. Bonus: Certified Sage Intacct Implementation Specialist or similar credential.
