Salesforce Technical Mentor/ 1 on 1 hands-on Coaching
Worldwide
Salesforce Technical Mentor / 1-on-1 Hands-On Coach Needed Overview I am looking for an experienced Salesforce professional to provide ongoing 1-on-1, hands-on coaching and mentorship as I pursue Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, Salesforce Business Applications Analyst, and similar Salesforce-focused IT roles. This is not primarily a Salesforce certification tutoring position. My goal is to develop practical, real-world Salesforce experience that I can confidently discuss during technical interviews and apply immediately once I transition into a Salesforce role. I am looking for someone who has actually worked in enterprise Salesforce environments and can teach me how Salesforce work is performed in the real world—not simply walk me through Trailhead modules. What I Want to Accomplish I want our sessions to simulate the type of work I would actually receive as a Salesforce Administrator, Business Analyst, or Business Applications Analyst. Ideally, you will give me realistic business requirements, tickets, problems, and projects and have me work through them in a Salesforce Developer/Practice environment while you coach and review my work. Examples could include: * Creating and modifying custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and Lightning pages * Building Salesforce Flows based on business requirements * User administration and access management * Profiles, permission sets, roles, public groups, sharing rules, OWD, FLS, and record-level security * Reports and dashboards * Data imports, exports, cleanup, deduplication, and data quality * Data governance * Data Loader and Import Wizard * Troubleshooting Salesforce configuration and automation issues * Requirements gathering and translating business requirements into Salesforce solutions * User stories and acceptance criteria * UAT and testing * Sandbox development and deployment processes * Change sets and/or modern Salesforce deployment methods * Production support and troubleshooting * Release/change management * Integrations and API concepts * Sales Cloud * Service Cloud * Marketing Cloud concepts and integration * Revenue Cloud exposure where applicable * MuleSoft/integration concepts where applicable * Salesforce AI/Agentforce exposure where applicable Scenario-Based Training One of the most important things I am looking for is scenario-based training. Instead of simply showing me how a feature works, I would like you to give me assignments similar to what I would receive on the job. For example: “The business needs supervisors to see and approve records submitted by employees, but employees should only be able to view their own records. Design the security model and implement it.” I would then work through the requirement, explain my approach, configure the solution, test it, troubleshoot problems, and receive feedback from you. I want to develop the ability to answer: “Tell me about a time you implemented this in Salesforce.” with a strong understanding of how that type of work is actually performed. Technical Interview Preparation I would also like some sessions to include mock technical interviews. Ask me realistic Salesforce interview questions and challenge my answers with follow-up questions such as: * Why did you choose that solution? * Why Flow instead of another automation approach? * How did you test it? * What happened when it failed? * How did you handle security? * How did you move the change between environments? * How did you gather the requirements? * How did you handle UAT? * What would you do differently? * How would this work in a large enterprise environment? I want someone who will identify gaps in my answers and then use hands-on exercises to close those gaps. Ideal Coach I would prefer someone with several years of real-world Salesforce implementation or administration experience, preferably as a: * Senior Salesforce Administrator * Salesforce Business Analyst * Salesforce Consultant * Salesforce Developer * Salesforce Solution Architect * Salesforce Technical Lead Enterprise implementation experience is strongly preferred. Experience interviewing or hiring Salesforce professionals would also be extremely valuable. Engagement I am interested in establishing an ongoing coaching relationship rather than scheduling only one session. Initially, I would like to meet approximately 2–3 times per week for 1-on-1 sessions, depending on availability. I am willing to do assignments between sessions. The objective is to progressively build my technical ability until I can independently handle realistic Salesforce tickets, requirements, troubleshooting scenarios, and small projects.
