Scriptwriter for True Horror / Disturbing Content YouTube Channel

We run a growing faceless YouTube channel in the true crime and disturbing-internet space — same lane as Chilling Scares, Chezzoid, and Darkest Horrors. We're looking for a scriptwriter who can own the full script pipeline: finding cases, researching them properly, writing them in our house voice, and marking up the visual guidance our editor works from. What you'll actually do For each video (typically 6 cases but not limited to, 2,500–4,000 words total), you will: Find the cases. You'll pick cases that fit the video's title and genuinely carry a story — a clear arc, verifiable facts, and footage or images to cut to. Knowing what makes a case work for this format matters as much as the writing. Research and fact-check. Every name, date, age, and outcome gets verified against real sources before it goes in a script. Our audience catches errors, and accuracy is a hard requirement — a wrong name or date is an automatic revision. Write in our house style. Calm, conversational, human — a knowledgeable narrator investigating a story, not reporting it. Think Chilling Scares: no hype, no "you won't believe," no AI-sounding filler. Add visual guidance. Source links for every case, plus timestamped markers — (mm:ss – mm:ss) — telling the editor exactly which clip moments play and where the narration goes silent for footage. A case submitted without timestamps comes back unread. Only what matters. Part of the skill is compression: including the parts of a case that carry it and leaving out everything that doesn't. Overcomplicated, everything-included cases are the most common reason for revisions. Pay $35 USD per finished, approved script (all cases written, fact-checked, timestamped, and passed through review). Consistent output — we publish regularly, so this is ongoing work for the right person, not a one-off.
