We are seeking an experienced energy-code consultant to prepare residential energy compliance calculations and submittal documentation for two new single-family homes in Seattle, Washington. The homes use essentially the same design, mirrored across two adjacent properties at 212 and 214 23rd Ave. The consultant may use any compliance method accepted by the City of Seattle, including the prescriptive method, provided the final package satisfies the applicable Seattle Energy Code/WSEC-R requirements. Scope of work: * Review the architectural plans and current building specifications. * Evaluate the proposed insulation, wall, roof, floor, window, door, water-heating, and HVAC specifications. * Recommend practical, cost-effective assemblies that meet code without unnecessarily expensive materials or over-specification. * Prepare all energy calculations, worksheets, forms, and supporting documentation required for Seattle permit submittal. * Clearly identify any revisions the architectural designer must make to the drawings, schedules, or specifications. * Confirm whether professional stamping is required and provide stamped documentation if necessary and included in the proposal. * Complete the compliance package for both adjacent properties. The architectural designer will update the permit drawings based on the consultant’s calculations and recommendations. Please provide: 1. Your fee for the first home. 2. Because the projects are substantially identical, we are requesting that the second project be priced at approximately 50% of the first-project fee. 3. Your estimated turnaround time. 4.
