Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations for a portfolio of U.S. clients. The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the month-end close process, reviewing the work of junior accountants, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and providing guidance on complex accounting matters. This role serves as the central point of coordination between the accounting team and clients, ensuring deadlines are met, issues are resolved proactively, and client deliverables are completed with the highest level of quality 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 Accounting & Financial Reporting Manage month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Review financial records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. Prepare financial reports, variance analysis, and management reporting. Oversee AR, AP, billing, cash activity, and other accounting processes as applicable. Revenue & Technical Accounting Review contracts and transactions for appropriate accounting and revenue recognition treatment. Apply ASC 606 and IFRS 15 principles where applicable. Research complex accounting matters and prepare technical accounting documentation. Process Ownership & Improvement Own accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and proper documentation. Identify issues and improve accounting, reporting, and reconciliation processes. Implement automation to improve efficiency and scalability. Client & Leadership Partnership Work directly with leadership and clients on accounting and financial matters. Clearly communicate financial results, issues, and recommendations. Support reporting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, and other financial needs. Team Support Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide guidance and feedback. Mentor team members and help maintain consistent accounting processes and quality. Qualifications 5+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience. Strong experience with month-end close, reconciliations, general ledger, and financial statements. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition; ASC 606 experience required. Experience with accounting software/ERP systems. Public accounting or CPA firm experience preferred. Client-facing experience and experience reviewing junior staff preferred. SaaS, technology, healthcare, or professional services experience is a plus. CPA or CA certification preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
