Senior Accountant / Controller (CPA)

We are seeking a detail-oriented, systems-minded CPA with deep technical U.S. GAAP accounting expertise, extensive experience managing accounting across multiple legal entities, and successful navigation of Big Four audit environments. Preferred qualifications are possessing a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and lease accounting, and is an advanced Sage Intacct user who enjoys leveraging technology to automate and improve accounting processes. This is a high-impact IC role that will partner closely with executive leadership, finance, operations, legal, and investors while laying the accounting foundation for the company's next stage of growth. Key Responsibilities Provide assistance with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple legal entities. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Ensure proper accounting and reporting for lease transactions under ASC 842. Coordinate and serve as the primary accounting contact during annual Big Four audits. Prepare audit schedules, technical accounting memos, and supporting documentation. Manage intercompany accounting, eliminations, reconciliations, and consolidations. Develop, document, and strengthen accounting policies and internal controls. Lead administration, optimization, and future enhancements of Sage Intacct, including system integrations, reporting, dimensional accounting, and workflow automation. Identify, implement, and maintain automation initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and strengthen financial controls. Partner with leadership to improve reporting, forecasting, and financial decision-making. Assist with special projects related to financing structures, process improvements, and company growth. Required Qualifications Active US CPA license required. Experience managing accounting for multiple legal entities and complex corporate structures. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting requirements. Experience working directly with or managing Big Four audit engagements. At least 2+ year hands-on SageIntact implementation with proven ability to automate accounting processes and improve operational efficiency. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Advanced expertise in Sage Intacct, including implementation, optimization, reporting, and workflow automation. Experience in renewable energy, solar finance, equipment leasing, or project finance. Familiarity with accounting and reporting for lease transactions under ASC 842. Startup or high-growth company experience. Experience with structured finance, SPEs, or investment entities. Familiarity with API integrations, financial reporting automation, or business intelligence tools.
