Senior Accountant Needed | Full Ownership of Close, AP & Reconciliations

WHO WE ARE Canopy Management is a full-service eCommerce agency. We run Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and paid media on Meta and Google for established brands, and we have grown fast enough to land near the top of the Inc. 500 (#325). Our books are genuinely interesting to work on. Multiple revenue models, deferred revenue, performance-based billing, and a leadership team that reads the financials closely and asks sharp questions about them. If you like accounting that requires judgment rather than repetition, you will enjoy this set of books. We are fully remote and we hire people who are trusted to run their own work. WHAT YOU WILL OWN - The monthly close calendar for your areas. You set the schedule and you run it. - Balance sheet reconciliations, start to finish. - Recurring journal entries, accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue, and revenue recognition schedules. - The first draft of monthly financial statements. - The AP workflow, end to end. - Variance review. You are the one who spots what looks unusual and flags it before the Controller opens the file. - Written procedures for everything you touch, so what you build keeps working after you hand it off. - Being the go-to accounting partner for department heads across the company. WHAT YOU BRING - 5 or more years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 or more running senior-level close work. - A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP strong enough to make a call and explain your reasoning. - Full-cycle experience: GL, AR/AP, reconciliations, month-end close. - Real proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar, and genuinely strong Excel skills. - An eye that catches a number that looks off before anyone points it out. - The ability to explain a variance clearly to someone outside of finance. - CPA or CMA is a welcome bonus, though not a requirement.
