Senior Android Lifecycle / Framework Engineer BONUS Job!!!

THIS IS NOT A JOB FOR A TYPICAL ANDROID DEVELOPER We are looking for a highly experienced Android Lifecycle / Framework Engineer to conduct a technical feasibility study and Proof Of Concept. Project Objective Determine whether Android Gesture Navigation (Android 10+) can be used or worked around to support an existing patented Android technology that detects application exit events with very high reliability. This is a research and architecture engagement. Proof Of Concept test code may be required depending upon research results . Scope * Review existing Android code and architecture * Study Android Gesture Navigation internals * Investigate available Android framework/lifecycle signals * Determine technical feasibility * Recommend possible implementation approaches * Estimate engineering effort (hours) required for verifying events and signals * Prepare a concise technical report We have existing patented Android technology that detects when a user exits an application by analyzing combinations of Android Activity lifecycle signals. The technology worked reliably with traditional Android navigation, but Android Gesture Navigation changes the behavior/signals available to the application. The engineer will: • Review our existing technology and relevant source code • Understand how our current Activity lifecycle detection works • Investigate Android 10+ Gesture Navigation behavior • Determine whether alternative lifecycle/framework signals can reliably identify when a user navigates Home • Perform limited proof-of-concept testing where necessary • Determine whether a workable solution is technically feasible • Recommend the best technical approach • Estimate the engineering hours required for implementation We specifically want someone with expert-level experience in areas such as: Activity lifecycle internals Android Framework / AOSP WindowManager / system navigation Gesture Navigation ActivityManager / task lifecycle ProcessLifecycleOwner WindowInsets Accessibility or UsageStats where applicable Debugging Android system-level behavior across OS versions/OEMs Again, this is not a standard Android UI/app-development assignment. We need someone comfortable investigating Android at the framework/lifecycle level.
