Senior Azure Network Engineer Needed - Full Time - Long Term

Important details: - No agencies, only independent professionals. - This is a full-time position long term. - Need to work 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday - Needs to be available for business meetings and collaboration with our Team until 2PM EST USA Hours. We are seeking a Senior Azure Network Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team in a fast-paced, regulated financial services environment. Required Qualifications: - 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on Azure cloud networking in production environments. - Deep expertise in Azure Virtual WAN, including Routing Intent, Routing Policies, secured hub deployment, and inter-hub traffic management. - Hands-on experience designing and operating ExpressRoute circuits — including BGP configuration, Global Reach, route filtering, and encrypted ExpressRoute scenarios. - Strong command of Azure DNS Private Resolver, Private DNS Zones, and end-to-end Private Endpoint name resolution across hub-and-spoke and multi-region topologies. -Proficiency with BGP routing concepts — AS path manipulation, local preference, MED, route symmetry, and integrating NVAs or SD-WAN devices via Azure Route Server. - Experience operating NVAs (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Azure Firewall, or equivalent) in hub VNets or VWAN secured hubs, including route table and UDR management. - Familiarity with SD-WAN platforms (Prisma, Meraki, Viptela, or equivalent) and their integration with Azure networking via BGP and IPsec. - Understanding of Kubernetes networking fundamentals (CNI plugins, network policies, service mesh) and ability to troubleshoot AKS-to-Azure-service connectivity failures. - Experience with Azure Landing Zone / Cloud Adoption Framework networking patterns — Connectivity subscription, hub VNet governance, and Azure Policy for network controls. - Proficiency with IaC tooling: Terraform or Bicep for network resource provisioning, with experience in CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
