Senior Backend Developer for Live Mobile Games

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend / Full-Stack Developer to help maintain and expand an established live mobile strategy game. This is not primarily a Unity role. Most work will be focused on backend services, APIs, databases, AWS infrastructure, internal tools, LiveOps systems, debugging, and modernization of existing systems. Responsibilities include: Maintain and extend backend services and APIs Work with player accounts, inventory, currencies, rewards, events, purchases, and progression systems Build and improve LiveOps and admin tools Debug production issues Work with SQL/NoSQL databases Maintain and improve AWS infrastructure Improve logging, monitoring, deployment, and CI/CD Modernize legacy systems without disrupting the live game Build scripts, reporting tools, and operational utilities Relevant technologies include: PHP C# / .NET Go SQL / MySQL DynamoDB REST APIs WebSockets AWS Git Linux You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed. We are looking for someone with strong backend experience who is comfortable taking ownership of an existing production system and working independently. Experience with mobile games, LiveOps, free-to-play economies, in-app purchases, AWS, or legacy system modernization is a major plus. This can become a long-term position for the right developer.
