Senior Backend Developer for Single-Tenant Headless Asset & Syndication Hub

Summary

Project Overview: We are building a dedicated, single-tenant headless content and asset hub to manage a legacy streetwear brand's historical event photos, media catalogs, and founder profile data from scratch. This system will serve as the master control node for our digital footprint—storing structured historical assets and pushing them outward to external data nodes and syndication endpoints. Core Technical Requirements: 1. Single-Tenant Architecture: The system must be built for a single entity/brand. No complex multi-tenant database partitioning or multi-client overhead is required. Clean, isolated, lightning-fast single-brand data modeling (Node.js/TypeScript with PostgreSQL or Payload CMS). 2. Asset & Metadata Management: Robust database schemas to handle high-resolution event imagery, historical timelines, press mentions, and custom categorical tagging so files retain full structural context. 3. Tag-Filtered JSON REST APIs: Expose secure, high-performance REST endpoints that allow external developers or syndication nodes to query assets and data packets filtered strictly by tags, dates, or media types. 4. Event-Driven Webhook Dispatcher: A reliable webhook delivery system in Node.js featuring payload verification, automated retry logic, and error logging to instantly push published updates and new asset alerts out to external publication and syndication endpoints. Deliverables: - Fully functional single-tenant backend repository. - Configured and documented JSON REST API endpoints with tag filtering. - Working webhook dispatcher with built-in retry and failure management. - Deployment scripts and clean technical documentation. Application Instructions: Do not send a generic AI template response. In your proposal, explicitly state: 1. Your preferred stack (e.g., custom Express/Node.js vs Payload CMS) and why it fits a single-tenant media pipeline. 2. How you plan to architect the webhook retry logic to handle failed external network pings. Proposals ignoring these specific technical questions will be automatically ignored.
