AW - Senior Backend & Infra Engineer (PaaS, Python/TS, IaC)

We are seeking a Senior Backend & Infrastructure Engineer to build the robust plumbing that powers sophisticated AI agents for a major cloud technology client. Your code will run on a modern PaaS environment and will serve as the backbone for critical automation tools. You are not just building APIs; you are building the execution environment for agents. You will handle state management (Postgres/Redis), infrastructure as code (Terraform/Blueprints), and secure sandboxing for code execution. You understand that "observability" for agents means more than just HTTP logs. Key Responsibilities: Design and deploy scalable backend services on modern PaaS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Build robust APIs and webhooks that allow agents to interact with internal and external tools (e.g., issue trackers, chat platforms). Implement secure execution environments (sandboxes) for agents to run code safely. Set up comprehensive logging and observability (traces, metrics) to debug complex agent reasoning traces. Manage persistent state for long-running agent workflows using Postgres and Redis. Required Skills & Experience: PaaS & Cloud Native Expert: Deep experience deploying and scaling services on platforms like Heroku, Vercel, or similar modern cloud providers. Strong Backend Engineering: Expert in Python (FastAPI/Django) or TypeScript (Node/Next.js). Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar IaC tools. Database Design: Strong SQL (Postgres) and Redis skills for managing agent state/memory. Security Mindset: Experience building secure integrations and handling sensitive data.
