Senior Bookkeeper for E-commerce Brands (US LLCs) | Precise, Proactive, Great Communicator (Remote)

About Us We are a young, hungry, fast-moving group of companies working with e-commerce brands and advertisers. We are launching a new bookkeeping service built around one simple idea: bookkeeping should be proactive. Most e-commerce owners have had bad experiences with bookkeepers who are slow, hard to reach, and only show up when something is wrong. We want to be the opposite. That's where you come in. About the Role We are looking for an experienced US bookkeeper to be the expert at the heart of this new service. You will own the bookkeeping for a portfolio of US LLCs, mainly e-commerce businesses, and set the standard for how we work. You will be supported by a dedicated team of virtual assistants who handle document collection, data entry, and day-to-day client questions, working from clear SOPs and templates. You bring the expertise, the precision, and the judgment. Tax advisory and filings are handled by an external specialist partner, so your focus is clean, accurate books and clear financial reporting. What makes us different is how we work: we chase the client, not the other way round. Clients get clear reporting every week, on time, without having to ask. You will help us build this from the ground up, including the SOPs, templates, and processes that make it scale. What You Will Do • Own the bookkeeping for a portfolio of US LLCs, mainly e-commerce businesses • Deliver accurate monthly closes, reconciliations, P&Ls, and balance sheets • Produce clear weekly reporting for clients: revenue, costs, and actual profit • Handle e-commerce specifics properly, including inventory, COGS, payment processors, and platform payouts • Proactively flag missing documents, issues, and opportunities before the client has to ask • Guide and review the work of our VA team so everything that reaches the client is correct • Help build the SOPs, templates, and processes the service runs on • Work with our external tax partner so their filings are based on clean, complete books • Spot what can be automated and help us set it up Who You Are • Extensive, proven experience as a bookkeeper for US LLCs, with a track record and references you can show us • Strong knowledge of how requirements differ by state, including franchise tax, annual reports, and state filings (for example California, Wyoming, Texas) • Experience with e-commerce businesses and tools such as Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, and QuickBooks or Xero • Very precise: you care about every number being right, and you double-check your own work • A genuinely great communicator, able to explain the numbers clearly to business owners who are not accountants • Proactive by nature: you follow up, chase, and flag issues without waiting to be asked • You actually enjoy bookkeeping and financial records, and you like solving the messy problems others avoid • Excited to be part of something new and dynamic, and to help shape how it is built • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and leading a small support team Who This Is Not For • Someone without substantial, verifiable experience with US LLC bookkeeping • Someone who waits for clients to send things instead of following up • Someone who is slow to respond or difficult to reach • Someone who is comfortable with 'close enough' when it comes to the numbers • Someone looking for a slow, fixed routine rather than helping build something new What We Offer • A key role at the start of a new service, with real ownership and the chance to shape how it works • A dedicated support team, clear systems, and an external tax partner, so you can focus on doing great work • The opportunity to grow with us as the service scales • Fully remote • Compensation: to be discussed To Apply Please share a short overview of your bookkeeping experience with US LLCs, the types of businesses you have worked with (especially e-commerce), the tools you use, and references or examples that show the quality of your work.
