Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake & dbt Expert

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake and dbt to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytics models. You will work with raw data sources, transform data within Snowflake using dbt, create reliable data models, and improve data quality, performance, and documentation. Responsibilities: Build and maintain ELT/data pipelines in Snowflake Develop dbt models, tests, macros, snapshots, and documentation Design scalable bronze, silver, and gold data layers Optimize Snowflake SQL queries, warehouse usage, and costs Implement data quality checks, reconciliation, and monitoring Manage incremental models and historical data loads Work with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into data models Support BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Required Skills: Strong Snowflake experience, including SQL performance tuning Expert-level dbt experience: models, tests, sources, macros, seeds, and snapshots Strong SQL and data warehousing knowledge Experience with Git and deployment/version-control workflows Experience building incremental pipelines and handling large datasets Knowledge of Python is preferred Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus Good communication and documentation skills
