Senior Data Engineer

Job Description Hours: Flexible Pay: $120,000 - $150,000 Location: fully remote We are looking for experienced Data Engineers located in the United States to join our growing remote engineering team. This opportunity is open to professionals with backgrounds in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, ETL development, backend engineering, and data platform development. We value strong data fundamentals, analytical thinking, communication skills, and adaptability over expertise in any specific technology stack. You will work directly with US-based clients to build reliable data pipelines, reporting systems, and analytics platforms that support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and integration solutions. - Collect, transform, and validate data from multiple sources. - Develop scalable data models and data warehouses. - Build automated reporting and analytics systems. - Ensure data quality, consistency, and security. - Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows. - Collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders. - Create technical documentation and data definitions. - Participate in architecture discussions and recommend improvements. - Work with engineers, analysts, and product teams. - Stay current with data technologies and best practices. Requirements / Qualifications - Must be currently located in the United States. - 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields. - Advanced SQL skills. - Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala, Go, JavaScript, or similar). - Strong understanding of data modeling and data transformation concepts. - Experience building production data pipelines or analytical systems. - Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Comfortable working during US business hours. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Nice to have Experience with any of the following: Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Talend, SSIS Spark, Kafka, Hadoop AWS, Azure, GCP Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QuickSight Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Data governance and data quality frameworks AI or machine learning workflows Note: We do not require expertise in any specific technology stack.
