Senior AI Engineer (Python, Azure, Power Platform) - PoC to production, start ASAP

WE NEED PEOPLE WHO CAN START THIS WEEK. If you are available now, put your availability in the first line of your proposal. Ideal Shift AI is a Dutch AI strategy and implementation firm working with large healthcare organisations. We have an active engagement with a client that runs its own internal AI platform, and we are adding two AI Engineers to the team. WHAT THE WORK ACTUALLY IS The client already has working summarisation and prediction algorithms. They work as proofs of concept. They are not production-grade. Your job is to close that gap: - Take existing Python models (summarisation, classification, forecasting) from PoC to production - Deploy and operate them on Azure: pipelines, endpoints, CI/CD, versioning - Build monitoring: drift, performance, cost, failure alerting - Work on LLM/NLP pipelines over unstructured clinical text - Build workflow automation on the Microsoft Power Platform: Power Automate flows, Power Apps front-ends, custom connectors into the surrounding systems - Document and hand over cleanly, so the client's own team can run it afterwards You will work alongside the client's data scientist and platform architect, not in a silo. Expect technical scrutiny. They know what they are doing and they will ask about your architecture choices. MUST HAVE - 4+ years professional Python, production code, not notebooks - Strong Azure: Azure ML, Azure Functions, Azure OpenAI, Data Factory or equivalent. Azure specifically, not "cloud in general" - Microsoft Power Platform in production: Power Automate and Power Apps, custom connectors, Dataverse. We are a Microsoft-first shop and our clients are too - Real MLOps experience: you have shipped a model that other people depend on and kept it running - LLM/NLP experience on unstructured text - Able to explain your architectural trade-offs to a technical client - Fluent English NICE TO HAVE - Healthcare, clinical or other regulated-data experience - Working with GDPR constraints, data minimisation, EU-region-only deployments - Dutch language - Microsoft Fabric - Experience integrating on top of source systems (EHR, CRM, data warehouse) rather than replacing them WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR PROPOSAL Applications without this will not be reviewed: 1. Two or three projects you personally built, with what the model did, how it was deployed, and what happened to it after you left 2. Your specific Azure and Power Platform services, named 3. GitHub or code sample, if you can share one 4. Your availability: hours per week and earliest start date 5. Your hourly rate We move fast.
