# Senior Figma Designer Needed for Complete Redesign of a Tunisian Digital Media Platform We are looking for an experienced **product and web designer specialized in Figma** to completely redesign **HashtagMedia.tn**, a Tunisian digital media platform. This is **not a simple website redesign** and we are not looking for someone to customize an existing template. Our objective is to design the next generation of Hashtag Media as a complete bilingual digital media platform combining: * News * Entertainment * Culture and arts * Politics * Economy * Society * Sport * Lifestyle * Celebrities and influencers * Videos * Interviews * Original shows * Podcasts * Cinema content * Pathé cinema programming * Advertising and branded content The final design must feel like a modern media brand rather than a traditional newspaper or blog. --- ## About Hashtag Media Hashtag Media is a Tunisian media brand targeting the general public. We want to evolve the current website into a modern, premium and highly visual media ecosystem where users can: * read news and editorial content; * follow breaking news; * watch videos and original shows; * listen to podcasts; * discover personalities and interviews; * explore cinema content; * check Pathé movie schedules; * access cinema booking; * discover trending and popular content. The platform must be designed to evolve for several years without requiring a complete redesign every time we introduce a new content format. --- # Languages The platform will be available in: * Arabic * French Arabic will be the primary language. This means the designer must understand how to design a proper **right-to-left Arabic experience** as well as a left-to-right French experience. We are not looking for a French interface that is simply mirrored automatically for Arabic. Typography, hierarchy, navigation and layouts must work naturally in both languages. Experience designing Arabic interfaces will be a major advantage. --- # Design Direction The overall positioning can be described as: **Young Media × Premium Editorial × Modern Newsroom** The platform should feel: * modern; * premium; * dynamic; * credible; * highly visual; * editorial; * youthful without becoming childish; * sophisticated without becoming corporate; * rich in content without becoming visually overloaded. We want the website to feel more engaging than a traditional newspaper while remaining more credible and structured than a social media platform. --- # What We Do NOT Want Please do not apply if your approach is mainly based on modifying marketplace templates. We do not want: * a generic news website; * a personal blog appearance; * an old-fashioned newspaper portal; * excessive visual clutter; * dozens of identical small article cards; * excessive colors and borders; * a corporate website; * an overly minimal website with insufficient content density; * a direct copy of an existing template. The website must develop its own recognizable **Hashtag Media identity**. --- # Main Platform Areas The design will cover a complete media ecosystem. Main sections include: * Home * News * Tunisia * World * Politics * Economy * Society * Culture and Arts * Music * Cinema * Television * Radio * Celebrities * Influencers * Social Media * Sport * Lifestyle * Videos * Podcasts * Original Shows * Pathé Cinema * Search * Authors * Topics * Advertising and Partnerships * About * Contact --- # Homepage The homepage must be modular and editorially driven. It should include areas such as: * major featured story; * secondary stories; * latest news; * trending topics; * videos; * original shows; * podcasts; * editorial categories; * most-read content; * selected editorial content; * cinema programming; * newsletter; * advertising. Not every article should have the same visual importance. The design must support strong editorial hierarchy. --- # Video and Original Shows Video is a major part of the future Hashtag Media platform. We need a dedicated visual language for: * videos; * interviews; * short clips; * full episodes; * original programs; * entertainment content. The video experience should feel like a real audiovisual platform rather than articles containing embedded videos. Each original Hashtag Media show should also be able to have: * its own page; * visual identity; * presenter; * description; * latest episode; * episode archive; * related clips and articles. --- # Podcasts Podcasts must be treated as a dedicated format. The platform must include: * podcast landing page; * individual podcast pages; * episode pages; * guest information; * audio player; * latest episodes; * related video and editorial content. We may also introduce a persistent compact audio player while users continue navigating the website. --- # Pathé Cinema Integration One important feature of the new platform will be a dedicated **Pathé** section accessible directly from the main navigation. Hashtag Media will integrate cinema programming data provided by Pathé. Users should be able to: * choose a Pathé cinema; * select a date; * discover movies currently showing; * see movie posters; * read movie information; * watch trailers where available; * see screening times; * select a screening; * continue toward official ticket booking. The ideal journey is: **Pathé → Cinema → Date → Movie → Screening → Booking** The Pathé environment must also connect with Hashtag Media editorial content. For example: A Hashtag Media movie review could provide a direct action to view available Pathé screenings. A Pathé movie page could also display related Hashtag Media interviews, articles, reviews and videos. This should feel like a real integrated cinema service rather than an external link. --- # Mobile-First Approach Mobile is extremely important for this project. The mobile version must be designed as a primary experience, not simply a reduced desktop layout. Important priorities include: * fast content discovery; * strong editorial hierarchy; * easy navigation; * readable Arabic and French typography; * excellent video experience; * easy podcast playback; * simple cinema schedule browsing; * comfortable screening selection; * non-intrusive advertising. Recommended Figma reference sizes: Desktop: 1440 pixels wide Mobile: 390 pixels wide The designer must also define responsive behavior between these sizes. --- # Pages to Design The project will require approximately the following unique page templates: 1. Homepage 2. Category page 3. Subcategory page 4. Latest news 5. Standard article 6. Video article 7. Premium interview or long-form article 8. Videos landing page 9. Shows landing page 10. Individual show 11. Podcasts landing page 12. Individual podcast 13. Podcast episode 14. Search 15. Search results 16. Author page 17. Topic page 18. About 19. Contact 20. Advertising and partnership 21. Pathé cinema landing page 22. Pathé movie details page 23. Error page 24. Important secondary interface states The most important pages must be designed for desktop and mobile. Arabic and French behavior must also be clearly demonstrated. --- # Design System The project must include a professional Figma design system. This should include: * color system; * Arabic typography; * French typography; * spacing; * desktop grid; * mobile grid; * buttons; * forms; * navigation; * article cards; * video cards; * podcast cards; * show cards; * author components; * tags; * search; * filters; * pagination; * audio player; * video player; * advertisements; * Pathé movie cards; * cinema selector; * date selector; * screening time components; * booking actions; * newsletter; * footer. Reusable components and variants must be properly organized. --- # Interface States The designer must also consider important states such as: * default; * hover; * active; * selected; * disabled; * loading; * error; * success; * empty content; * missing image; * unavailable cinema programming; * no search results. Developers should not have to invent these behaviors during implementation. --- # Prototype We expect an interactive Figma prototype demonstrating key journeys such as: ### Journey 1 Homepage → Category → Article ### Journey 2 Homepage → Video → Episode ### Journey 3 Homepage → Podcast → Episode → Audio Playback ### Journey 4 Homepage → Search → Results ### Journey 5 Arabic → French ### Journey 6 Mobile Navigation ### Journey 7 Homepage → Pathé → Cinema → Movie → Screening → Booking --- # Expected Deliverables Final delivery should include: * complete sitemap; * user flows; * wireframes; * visual direction; * desktop designs; * mobile designs; * Arabic design; * French design; * complete design system; * reusable component library; * interactive prototype; * responsive behavior documentation; * clean developer-ready Figma file. The final Figma file must be structured professionally and ready for development handoff. --- # Preferred Working Process We prefer to work in clear phases. ### Phase 1 Research and information architecture ### Phase 2 Sitemap and user flows ### Phase 3 Wireframes ### Phase 4 Visual direction proposals ### Phase 5 Homepage validation ### Phase 6 Design system ### Phase 7 Internal page designs ### Phase 8 Mobile designs ### Phase 9 Arabic and French adaptation ### Phase 10 Pathé cinema experience ### Phase 11 Interactive prototype ### Phase 12 Final cleanup and developer handoff We do not want the entire website designed before the general visual direction and homepage have been approved. --- # Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who understands complex content platforms, not only visual design. Ideal experience includes: * digital media; * online news; * editorial websites; * digital magazines; * video platforms; * entertainment platforms; * podcast platforms; * cinema or entertainment services; * large content-heavy websites; * Arabic digital products; * professional Figma design systems. You should be comfortable challenging our ideas and suggesting better solutions where appropriate. We are not looking for someone who simply follows instructions without product thinking. --- # Portfolio Requirements When applying, please send only your most relevant projects. We are especially interested in seeing: * media websites; * news platforms; * digital magazines; * video platforms; * content-heavy products; * Arabic interfaces; * advanced Figma design systems. Please do not send a generic portfolio containing unrelated corporate or landing-page projects. --- # Important Application Requirement Start your proposal with the words: **HASHTAG MEDIA** This allows us to confirm that you have read the project description. Then please answer the following questions: ### 1. What is the most complex media, news, editorial or content platform you have designed? Please provide the link. ### 2. Have you previously designed a right-to-left Arabic interface? If yes, please provide an example. ### 3. How would you approach the difference between a traditional news website and the media platform described in this brief? ### 4. How do you normally structure a large Figma design system before designing dozens of pages? ### 5. Which parts of this project do you believe require the most design attention? ### 6. Are you personally responsible for the work shown in your portfolio? Please explain your exact role. --- # Final Objective We are not looking for: **“a redesign of HashtagMedia.tn.”** We are building: ## THE NEW DIGITAL PLATFORM OF HASHTAG MEDIA A bilingual Tunisian media ecosystem where users can: **read, discover, watch, listen, follow, explore cinema programming and move toward booking — within one coherent media experience.** If you have strong experience designing complex digital media products and believe you can create an original identity for Hashtag Media, we would like to hear from you.
