Senior Full-Stack Developer: AI-Assisted Development

We're looking for a senior full-stack developer with hands-on experience using AI coding agents to help build, improve, and maintain our internal systems. We run an e-commerce business powered by Shopify integrations, a custom CRM/SRM, and internal tools that handle our sales, suppliers, orders, and staff workflows. Our founders actively build with AI tools, and we want someone who can take raw ideas and handle the architecture, implementation, testing, and day-to-day reliability. This is a long-term, remote role (around 40 hours/week) paying $15 to $50/hour depending on experience. International applicants are welcome. What the day-to-day looks like: You will maintain our existing services, build new features directly from business needs, and use AI coding tools across development, testing, and debugging. When things break across our APIs, databases, or frontend layers, you'll track down root causes and verify fixes properly before pushing to production. We expect you to make practical technical decisions on your own and speak up early about tradeoffs or blockers. You will also work closely with the founders. We do daily check-ins within agreed working hours (overlapping with US Eastern time) to bounce ideas around, talk through priorities, and decide what is worth building. We need someone who can turn loose concepts into realistic technical plans, explain the tradeoffs plainly, and see the work through to completion. What we need: Track record building and maintaining production apps used by real users. Regular use of tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar AI coding agents, including the ability to spot when AI-generated code is subtly broken. Solid full-stack background: APIs, databases, auth, and external integrations. Comfort digging into an existing codebase and sticking to its conventions. Practical experience with Python, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Git, and Shopify. Clear written communication and availability that overlaps with US Eastern business hours. Shortlisted candidates will do a short call followed by a small, paid technical trial using AI tools. We’re ultimately looking for someone who loves coding with AI, knows the underlying stack deeply, and can take true ownership of our systems.
