Senior Full-Stack Developer — AI Product Discovery + Affiliate Commerce We are seeking an experienced senior full-stack developer or small development team to develop an AI-powered product discovery and affiliate-commerce platform in the fashion/apparel category. Specific brand, domain and product vertical will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates. This is not a standard Shopify website or theme-development project. We are developing a specialized commerce platform that will aggregate products from multiple brands and retailers and enable consumers to discover products through natural-language AI search, semantic search, structured filtering and personalized recommendations. Example User Experience A customer might enter: “Find me an oversized heavyweight item in black, with minimal branding, under $100.” The platform should interpret the customer’s intent, search a structured product database and return relevant products ranked according to relevance and individual preferences. Initial MVP The platform will require: * Affiliate product-feed/API integrations * Product catalog ingestion and synchronization * Product-data normalization * AI-assisted attribute extraction and classification * Natural-language product discovery * Semantic/vector search * Structured filtering * Product match/relevance scoring * Customer preference profiles * Personalized recommendations * Favorites * Affiliate click tracking * Retailer redirects * Shopify integration for proprietary products * Cross-retailer product deduplication * Administrative tools * Analytics Initial catalog size is expected to be approximately 25,000–100,000 products, with an architecture capable of scaling substantially beyond this. Technical Experience Desired Strong experience in several of the following areas is required: * Next.js / React * Node.js / TypeScript * PostgreSQL * Vector databases / pgvector * LLM integrations * Embeddings * Semantic search * Recommendation systems * Headless Shopify * Affiliate product feeds/APIs * Large product catalogs * Product normalization and deduplication * Personalization systems Experience with Awin, impact.com, CJ, Rakuten or similar affiliate networks is highly desirable. Initial Engagement We intend to begin with a paid technical discovery/architecture milestone before awarding the complete development contract. The selected developer will review a more detailed confidential product specification and provide: * Recommended system architecture * Database/data architecture * Affiliate ingestion architecture * AI/search architecture * Shopify integration approach * Technology recommendations * Development milestones * MVP timeline * MVP cost estimate Successful completion may lead directly to the full development engagement.
