Senior Full-Stack Developer for Enterprise Fashion PLM & Supply Chain Platform
Worldwide
We are a globally recognized fashion house and apparel manufacturer experiencing rapid expansion across multiple brands and international markets. As our design-to-shelf lifecycle becomes increasingly complex, our legacy Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools are slowing down our creative and production teams. We are building a bespoke, cloud-native Enterprise PLM Platform to digitize our entire supply chain - from initial sketch and 3D garment sampling to material sourcing, factory production tracking, and retail distribution. The Project: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer to architect and build this mission-critical enterprise platform. You will create a highly collaborative, real-time system that allows designers, merchandisers, and global factory partners to work seamlessly together. The platform must handle complex hierarchies of product data, manage vast libraries of digital assets (3D files, tech packs, patterns), and integrate with our existing ERP and inventory systems. Key Responsibilities: System Architecture: Design a highly scalable, cloud-native architecture capable of supporting thousands of concurrent users across global design studios and manufacturing facilities. Backend Development: Build a robust API layer to manage complex relational data (e.g., Season to Collection to Style to Colorway to Size to Bill of Materials to Factory Assignments). Frontend Development: Create a highly interactive, real-time single-page application (SPA) featuring collaborative tech pack editing, 3D garment viewers, and granular production tracking dashboards. Asset Management: Implement secure, high-performance storage and retrieval systems for large design files, including 3D CAD models (CLO3D/Browzwear) and high-resolution textiles. Integration: Develop middleware to connect the new PLM with our existing ERP (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and supplier portals via REST and event-driven architectures. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Implement granular permissions to ensure external factory partners only see approved production data, while internal teams retain full creative visibility. Required Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in full-stack software development, specifically with enterprise-scale B2B or SaaS applications. Frontend: Expert proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks (Tailwind CSS, Radix UI). Experience with complex state management and real-time collaborative editing (e.g., WebSockets, operational transformation). Backend: Deep expertise in Node.js (NestJS), Python, or Java/Spring Boot. Database: Strong experience designing highly normalized relational schemas using PostgreSQL, plus experience with Redis for caching and session management. Cloud & DevOps: Proven experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize queries and frontend rendering for datasets containing hundreds of thousands of SKUs and material variants. Bonus Qualifications (Highly Preferred): Prior experience developing or integrating PLM, ERP, or PIM (Product Information Management) systems. Experience in the fashion, apparel, or retail manufacturing industry. Familiarity with integrating 3D rendering engines (Three.js, Babylon.js) or handling 3D file formats (glTF, OBJ) in a web environment. Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka or RabbitMQ. Project Scope & Engagement: Type: Long-term contract (initially 6 months, with a high probability of extending into an ongoing multi-year engagement). Commitment: 30–40 hours per week. Timezone: Must have at least 4 hours of overlap with CET (Central European Time) or EST (Eastern Standard Time) for cross-team alignment.
