Senior IoT / Edge Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior IoT / Edge Systems Engineer / Systems Architect to assist with the architecture and development of a proprietary technology platform. The project involves integrating IoT devices, edge computing, cloud services, autonomous systems, data streams, and third-party hardware/software APIs into a unified, reliable platform. We are looking for someone capable of contributing to both high-level systems architecture and hands-on technical development, including system architecture, technology stack selection, communication protocols, data flows, edge/cloud architecture, device management, third-party integrations, and overall system reliability. Ideal Experience Strong experience with several of the following: IoT and distributed systems architecture Edge computing MQTT and device telemetry REST APIs / WebSockets Python, Go, and/or C/C++ Linux and Docker Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) PostgreSQL / Redis Event-driven architecture Embedded/IoT device integration RTSP / ONVIF / real-time data streams GPS/GNSS and geospatial systems Robotics and ROS/ROS2 Autonomous systems Hardware APIs/SDKs Computer vision / edge AI IoT and edge cybersecurity Experience integrating multiple third-party hardware and software platforms into a single reliable orchestration system is highly desirable. We are specifically looking for someone who can think at the system level, make sound architectural decisions, and translate those decisions into a scalable and maintainable implementation. The platform is intended for long-term commercial deployment, so reliability, security, scalability, modularity, and maintainability are important.
