Senior IoT / Mobile Developer Needed for Confidential Tracking Product We are looking for an experienced IoT + mobile application developer or small development team to help design and build an MVP for a new consumer hardware product. The specific product and use case will remain confidential during the initial application process. Additional details will be provided to selected candidates after an NDA is signed. Project Overview The project involves connecting a small physical tracking device with a companion iOS/Android application. We need someone who can help determine the best technical architecture and ultimately develop a working prototype. The system will involve: Small-form-factor tracking hardware Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), UWB, GPS/cellular, or similar technology Secure device-to-user pairing Location tracking / last-known-location Movement or separation alerts iOS + Android application Mapping and location services Push notifications Secure cloud/backend infrastructure Device ownership and transfer Lost/stolen device workflows One of the primary challenges will be determining the best tracking technology while keeping the physical tracker extremely small, power-efficient, secure, and reliable. Who We're Looking For We strongly prefer developers with previous experience building: IoT devices Bluetooth trackers GPS trackers BLE products UWB products Wearables Asset-tracking systems Connected consumer electronics Embedded systems Companion mobile applications Experience taking a product from prototype → functional hardware → manufacturing is a major plus. Initial Scope The first phase will focus on: Technical feasibility Hardware/tracking technology recommendation System architecture Mobile app architecture Backend/cloud architecture Security and privacy considerations Working hardware prototype Basic iOS/Android application Device pairing Location functionality Lost/stolen workflow Roadmap toward manufacturing Important We are not looking for someone who only builds standard mobile apps. This project requires someone who understands the interaction between physical hardware, embedded systems, wireless tracking technology, mobile applications, and cloud infrastructure. Please include examples of relevant IoT, tracking, connected hardware, embedded systems, or hardware/mobile products you have previously worked on. Generic proposals will not be considered. Selected candidates will receive additional information about the product and intended market after initial screening and execution of an NDA.
