Senior Knitwear Technical Designer | Luxury Resortwear | Long-Term Collaboration

BELLARUCHI is an Australian premium resortwear label creating timeless pieces inspired by warm destinations, natural fibres and effortless luxury. We work with experienced manufacturing partners in China and are looking for an experienced knitwear technical designer to become part of our product development process. This is not a one-off project. I'm looking for someone I can work with across future collections. About the Role I create the creative direction, garment concepts and overall design vision. I'm looking for someone with strong technical knitwear experience who can help transform my ideas into production-ready garments. This role includes: Creating and refining knitwear tech packs Reviewing measurements and garment proportions Advising on fit, negative ease and construction Reviewing samples and providing technical comments Communicating production-ready revisions for my factory Helping troubleshoot fit and construction issues during sampling Advising on stitch structures, yarn behaviour and knit construction where appropriate Ensuring garments are ready for bulk production My garments are a mix of fully fashioned machine knitwear and cut and sew knits, so experience in this area is essential. The Ideal Candidate: I'm looking for someone who has experience developing knitwear for premium or luxury brands. Ideally you have worked with brands similar to: Zara Vince Reformation COS Zimmermann Scanlan Theodore Sir. You should have strong knowledge of: Fully fashioned knitwear Shima Seiki and/or Stoll knitting Knit construction Yarn behaviour Gauge Fit development Luxury garment finishing Production-ready tech packs Working directly with overseas factories
