PROJECT OVERVIEW We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer and Manufacturing Software Technical Lead to take a key, long-term role in ORTEK, an advanced manufacturing operations and intelligent planning platform. ORTEK is an existing and substantially developed product. A significant portion of its manufacturing foundation, business logic, backend services, frontend modules, data models and automated tests is already implemented. This is not a project to build another basic MES, MRP or scheduling application from scratch. The selected developer must first understand the existing architecture and validated functionality, then connect, complete, stabilize and certify the different capabilities as one coherent, autonomous and deployment-ready manufacturing platform. ORTEK is intended to provide an integrated manufacturing environment covering: Product configuration and multi-level BOM management; Routings, operations, resources and work centers; Inventory, warehouse management and material reservations; Purchasing and subcontracting; Material Requirements Planning (MRP); Master Production Scheduling (MPS); Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP); Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP); Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS); Finite-capacity scheduling; Multi-order sequencing and dispatching; Manufacturing order generation and execution; MES and shop-floor control; WIP, barcode scanning and production traceability; Actual material and time consumption; Quality, nonconformities, scrap, rework and reproduction; Production progress, OEE and manufacturing performance indicators. A large part of this scope already exists at different levels of completion. The main challenge is to ensure that these capabilities are correctly connected through a reliable end-to-end manufacturing flow: Customer demand and forecasts → MPS → Multi-level BOM explosion → MRP → Purchasing, subcontracting and production requirements → Inventory availability and material reservations → RCCP and CRP → APS and finite-capacity scheduling → Manufacturing orders → Dispatch and shop-floor execution → WIP and traceability → Actual consumption, quality, scrap and rework → Real-time planning updates and manufacturing performance The selected developer will not be evaluated only on the number of features produced. Success will be measured by the reliability, consistency and operational integrity of the complete manufacturing flow. PRIMARY MISSION: INTEGRATE, STABILIZE AND CERTIFY THE EXISTING PLATFORM The immediate mission is to: Perform a structured audit of the existing platform; Identify what is complete, partially complete, disconnected or still missing; Preserve functionality that has already been validated; Connect the existing modules through consistent business workflows; Eliminate conflicting legacy and canonical logic; Complete missing links without unnecessarily rebuilding the platform; Strengthen data integrity, idempotency and transactional consistency; Certify the complete end-to-end flows with automated tests; Make planning results explainable and traceable; Ensure that operational events update material and capacity plans correctly; Prepare ORTEK for reliable deployment in real manufacturing environments; Make the product configurable without making its core dependent on one customer, ERP, XML structure or manufacturing sector. ORTEK must become the canonical source of truth for: Materials and components; Inventory and projected availability; Reservations and allocations; Purchased quantities and replenishment requirements; Reusable remnants and scrap; Physical WIP outputs; Manufacturing orders; Planned and actual operations; Machine and labor capacity; Production progress; Quality events; Actual consumption; Rework and replacement requirements; Manufacturing traceability and genealogy. INTELLIGENT PLANNING AND MANUFACTURING COPILOT VISION Once the existing manufacturing foundation is fully connected and certified, ORTEK must evolve into an intelligent planning and decision-support platform. The long-term objective is not simply to display a Gantt chart. ORTEK should be capable of: Detecting material and capacity constraints; Identifying bottlenecks and overloaded work centers; Proposing feasible production sequences; Comparing planning scenarios; Explaining why an order may be late; Recommending purchasing, subcontracting or capacity actions; Recalculating plans after production events, shortages, scrap or delays; Helping planners prioritize manufacturing orders; Connecting MRP, MPS, RCCP, CRP, APS and MES information; Providing reliable data and recommendations to managers and production teams; Progressively supporting a manufacturing planning copilot. The intelligent-planning layer must be built on reliable manufacturing rules and trustworthy operational data. We are not looking for superficial AI features added on top of inconsistent data. The selected technical lead should understand that the quality of an intelligent manufacturing copilot depends first on: A reliable canonical manufacturing model; Correct BOM and routing structures; Accurate inventory and material consumption; Realistic capacity information; Consistent production-event tracking; Explainable planning decisions; Complete and traceable end-to-end workflows. AI, optimization and decision-support capabilities may be introduced progressively, but they must strengthen the manufacturing logic rather than replace it.
