Senior 3D Product Visualization + Brand Designer for Premium Website Campaign

Senior 3D Product Visualization + Brand Designer for Premium Website Campaign ABOUT THE PROJECT We are looking for an exceptional 3D Product Visualization Designer with a very strong graphic design and art-direction background to completely elevate the visual presentation of an established U.S.-based consumer product brand. This is not simply a 3D rendering project. We need someone who can combine: Photorealistic 3D product rendering + premium graphic design + brand art direction. Our primary products are precision wooden building bricks with custom laser engraving. The products themselves are relatively simple to model and render, and the same core product models can be reused across much of the project with different engraving artwork and compositions. The challenge — and where we need strong creative talent — is making these relatively simple products feel premium through composition, lighting, engraving, background design and brand consistency. We want approximately 30 new website hero/banner images built around a consistent, reusable visual system. The finished website imagery should be: Visually striking Premium Modern Highly polished Memorable Cohesive across the entire website Consistent with our established brand identity and color palette Designed specifically around the message and audience of each webpage We don't want products simply dropped onto generic backgrounds. We want clean, art-directed compositions similar in complexity to premium e-commerce hero banners: a small arrangement of engraved bricks, strong lighting, a designed background, selective supporting props or graphic elements, and intentional negative space for website copy. THE VISUAL STANDARD Our current website banners rely heavily on imagery that feels too much like obvious CGI/3D modeling. We want to change that completely. The new product renders should feel photographic, tactile and real. Wood grain, edges, shadows, engraving, lighting, depth and surface texture need to look exceptional. Someone viewing the finished image should not immediately think: "That's a 3D model." It should feel like high-end product photography or a premium advertising campaign. At the same time, we're not looking for 30 products sitting on white backgrounds, nor are we asking for 30 elaborate custom 3D environments. Each banner needs a designed visual environment around the product. That may include: Simple environmental or tabletop elements Beautiful abstract compositions Layered graphic elements Brand-color environments Light and shadow Natural materials and textures Depth and atmospheric effects Purposeful typography-safe negative space Page-specific visual storytelling Strong combinations of 3D rendering and 2D graphic design The goal is for someone visiting the website to immediately feel that they have entered a premium, design-driven brand. APPROXIMATE SCOPE We currently anticipate approximately 30 finished website banner/hero images. The attached examples represent the general level of scene complexity we are looking for: several engraved wooden bricks arranged in a polished composition, a branded background or surface, occasional simple props, and substantial negative space for website copy. You will NOT need to create 30 completely different products or 30 completely unique 3D scenes. The project will primarily involve a small library of our core wooden brick products rendered in different: Configurations Camera angles Stacks Arrangements Engravings Lighting environments Page-specific compositions Once the primary 3D brick assets, wood materials, lighting approach and engraving workflow are built correctly, they should be reusable throughout the project. We expect this reuse to make production of the full banner set efficient. Different pages will require different creative directions while still feeling like part of one unified Timber Brands visual system. For example, imagery may relate to: Custom engraving Corporate branding Schools and education Churches and faith organizations Events and conferences Gifts Sustainability Manufacturing and craftsmanship Product compatibility Company/brand story Careers Other website categories We want each page to have its own personality while still unmistakably belonging to the same brand. PRODUCT ACCURACY IS CRITICAL Our products are real manufactured objects, so the rendering must accurately represent them. We will provide reference photography, product dimensions, engraving artwork and other required source materials. Details matter. We need: Accurate product proportions Clean, precision-cut edges Realistic natural wood grain Authentic material variation Correct stud and connection geometry Sharp laser-engraved artwork Realistic engraving depth/burn characteristics Excellent contact shadows Physically believable lighting No warped logos or text No distorted product geometry No artificial "plastic CGI" appearance When an engraving contains a company logo, Scripture, name, design or other artwork, that artwork must remain crisp, accurate and legible. BRAND DESIGN We have established brand identity guidelines and a defined color palette, which will be provided to the selected freelancer after hiring or under appropriate confidentiality. We do not want every image to simply use the same colored background. We want the designer to understand how to creatively interpret a brand system. The colors, materials, lighting, composition and graphic elements should work together to create a recognizable visual language across the entire website. You should be comfortable making creative recommendations rather than simply waiting for us to dictate where every element goes. We are hiring you for your design eye as much as your technical ability. DELIVERABLES The project is expected to include approximately: 30 finished website banner/hero compositions Along with: Creation/refinement of the required 3D product models Realistic wood materials and textures Reusable laser-engraving material/workflow Page-specific product arrangements Background/environment design Lighting and compositing Graphic design elements where appropriate Desktop-ready final artwork Mobile/adapted compositions where required High-resolution master files Optimized web-ready exports Editable/source files Organized reusable 3D product assets Exact dimensions and a complete page/image list will be supplied before full production. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR You may be a great fit if you have professional experience in: 3D product visualization Product advertising CGI product photography Graphic design Brand design Creative direction Art direction E-commerce campaign design Photoshop compositing Lighting and material development Experience with software such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Octane, Redshift, V-Ray, KeyShot or comparable professional rendering software is welcome. The exact software is less important than the quality of the finished work. Most importantly: Your portfolio must demonstrate BOTH exceptional 3D product rendering and exceptional composition/design. If your portfolio primarily consists of isolated 3D models, architecture, game assets or products on plain backgrounds, you are probably not the right fit. We want to see finished advertising-quality images. WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE We will provide: Brand identity guidelines Brand color palette Current website/page list Existing product photography Product measurements Existing product/rendering references where useful Engraving artwork Logos and vector assets Examples of the types of compositions we like Direction regarding the message/purpose of each webpage We want the selected designer to then take those materials and push the creative much further. OUR GOAL We don't want a minor improvement to the existing banners. We want a major visual transformation of the website. The new imagery should make visitors stop, explore and immediately understand that the product and brand are unique, premium and design-driven. We're looking for the type of imagery that could work equally well on: A website homepage A major advertising campaign A trade-show wall Social advertising Printed marketing Retail presentation This project should establish a visual system that we can continue building on in the future. There is potential for significant ongoing work for the right creative partner. TO APPLY Please do not send a generic proposal. Start your application with the words: PRODUCT VISUALS Then please include: 1. Your 3 best examples Send links to three projects only that best demonstrate the combination of: 3D product visualization + graphic design/art direction. Please do not send your entire portfolio. 2. Your role Briefly explain what you personally created in those three projects. 3. Your process In a few sentences, explain how you would approach creating a reusable 3D product system while giving approximately 30 website banners their own visual identities. 4. Software Tell us what 3D/rendering and design software you primarily use. 5. Project pricing Provide your fixed-price proposal for approximately 30 finished banner compositions based on the scope above. We prefer a practical production approach that reuses the core 3D assets, materials and engraving workflow rather than pricing each banner as a completely new 3D scene. 6. Source files Confirm that editable/source 3D and design files will be included in the final project. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF Your primary experience is architectural visualization You only create basic product renders You primarily use premade templates You cannot create realistic product materials You do not have strong graphic-design/composition skills You cannot provide editable/source files You rely entirely on generative AI for finished product imagery You cannot accurately maintain product geometry, engraving and branding AI may be useful during concept development, but the actual Timber Brands product must remain accurate and controllable. PROJECT STRUCTURE Project Type: One-time project with strong potential for ongoing work Experience Level: Expert Compensation: Fixed-price project. We are seeking strong value from an experienced designer who can efficiently reuse the core 3D product system across the full banner set. Estimated Full Scope: Approximately 30 website banner/hero images We will select the freelancer based primarily on the quality and relevance of their existing portfolio, creative/design ability, and proposed approach to the full project. We care about exceptional creative work, but this is also a production-oriented project with substantial reuse across approximately 30 banners. If you're equally comfortable discussing wood grain, lighting and camera angles as you are discussing composition, brand systems and art direction, we want to see your work.
