Senior Prompt Engineer/Agentic AI Workflow Designer | LLMs, AI Agents, RAG, API Integration (Python)

We're expanding our AI platform and looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer to help build production-ready AI applications, intelligent AI agents, and next-generation machine learning solutions. Role Summary We are looking for a Prompt Engineer with experience in designing agentic AI workflows that can generate insights through conversational interfaces. This role goes beyond prompt writing and involves building multi-step reasoning flows, tool integrations, and memory-aware AI systems. Key Responsibilities Agentic Flow Design • Design and implement multi-step AI workflows (agentic flows) for conversational systems • Build flows involving: o Retrieval (RAG) o Tool usage (APIs, DB queries, vector search) o Decision-making and branching logic • Define how agents plan → act → observe → respond Prompt Engineering • Create and optimize prompts for: o Insight generation o Structured outputs (JSON, tables) o Follow-up question generation • Tune prompts for accuracy, latency, and cost efficiency RAG & Knowledge Integration • Work with vector databases (e.g., Qdrant, Pinecone) • Design: o Chunking strategies o Embedding pipelines o Retrieval ranking logic • Handle edge cases like: o Partial indexing o Hallucination control Tool & API Orchestration • Integrate AI agents with: o Internal APIs o Databases (SQL/NoSQL) o External services • Define tool schemas and function calling logic Conversation & UX Intelligence • Design chat experiences with: o Context awareness o Memory handling o Follow-up suggestions • Improve user trust by avoiding incorrect/partial answers Evaluation & Optimization • Build evaluation frameworks: o Prompt testing o Response scoring o A/B testing • Monitor: o Accuracy o Latency o Token usage Required Skills Core AI/LLM Skills • Strong experience with: o Prompt engineering o LLM behavior tuning o Agent frameworks • Understanding of: o RAG architectures o Embeddings & vector search o Context window management Technical Skills • Experience with: o REST APIs o JSON schema design o Workflow orchestration • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) Nice to Have • Experience building chat-based products • Knowledge of multi-tenant systems & data isolation • Experience with real-time systems (WebSockets, streaming) • Exposure to Python Programing
