Senior React Native Developer — Audit & Stabilize Existing Production App

FoodSight Pro is an existing restaurant operations and profitability SaaS platform built with React Native, TypeScript, Firebase/Firestore, Cloud Functions, Node.js, and third-party API integrations. The application is substantially built. This is NOT a greenfield build, prototype, or redesign project. I am looking for a senior React Native developer who is comfortable inheriting an existing codebase, diagnosing difficult issues, stabilizing production functionality, and preparing an application for real-world pilot deployment. The immediate problem is reliability. Individual features and automated tests may pass, but I have experienced situations where fixing one issue causes previously working functionality to regress, or where something appears correct at the code/test level but fails during actual iPhone testing. I need someone who can determine why, rather than simply patching the next visible error. The application has been developed extensively using AI-assisted development/Codex. I plan to continue using AI development tools, so I specifically want someone comfortable reviewing AI-generated code, identifying incorrect assumptions, and establishing safeguards so future changes don’t continually destabilize the application. During the initial engagement I want you to: * Review the existing architecture and repository * Reproduce current issues where possible * Identify root causes rather than surface-level patches * Review Firebase/native/environment configuration * Identify areas vulnerable to regressions * Review the current testing strategy * Evaluate AI-generated portions of the codebase where relevant * Identify technical debt that presents an actual production risk * Recommend what needs to be fixed before pilot deployment * Produce a prioritized stabilization plan I am the founder/product owner, not a software engineer. I can clearly explain how FoodSight Pro is supposed to behave from the user’s perspective, and I can provide technical documentation and AI-generated repository audits to support your investigation. I am specifically looking for someone who can take technical ownership of the diagnosis rather than requiring me to determine what part of the code is causing a problem. If the initial audit goes well, there is potential for continued work implementing the stabilization plan, validating critical workflows on physical devices, preparing the application for pilots, and providing ongoing technical oversight as the platform grows.
